Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for monitoring radio links between wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) and determining of radio link failure, and may be used, among others, for New Radio (NR) vehicular communication (V2X); a mode whereby WTRUs can communicate with each other directly. A radio link between a WTRU and another WTRU may be monitored independently per ongoing unicast and/or multicast link, and radio link failure (RLF) may be determined as a function of the monitoring.

Abstract: Beam management may be coordinated by a centralized coordinating entity, e.g., by a gNB, that configures and schedules Channel State Information Reference Signal, CSI-RS, transmissions for beam measurement and reporting. This centralized coordinating entity may not be available for Wireless Transmit-Receive Units, WTRUs, in a SideLink, SL, mode of operation, where resource allocation is performed by WTRUs in a distributed manner. WTRU procedures for establishing and updating an SL TCI state association are disclosed, including determining a spatial domain filter to use for an SL transmission. In these WTRU procedures, a WTRU may perform CSI-RS transmissions in an SL slot, e.g., multiplexed with a PSCCH/PSSCH transmission. The WTRU may receive, in reply, CSI reporting information comprising a spatial domain filter. For further SL TB transmissions for the SL, the WTRU may use the spatial domain filter.

Abstract: A wireless transmit-receive unit (WTRU) may be configured to perform one or more actions. The WTRU may receive positioning configuration information. The positioning configuration information may include an indication of one or more positioning delegation candidates for the WTRU and an indication of one or more conditions for starting or stopping positioning delegation. The WTRU may detect that a condition for starting positioning delegation has been satisfied for at least one of the positioning delegation candidates. The WTRU may send an indication to a network device that the WTRU is using at least one positioning delegation candidate which has satisfied conditions. The WTRU may detect that a condition for stopping positioning delegation has been satisfied for at least one positioning delegation candidate. The WTRU may send an indication to the network device that the WTRU has stopped using at least one positioning delegation candidate for positioning.

Abstract: A method for determining a DRX operation in a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) that has information indicating multiple DRX configurations, includes selecting a first DRX configuration from the multiple DRX configurations based on a first cast type and an associated first quality of service (QOS) information for a first sidelink radio bearer (SLRB) configuration, selecting a second DRX configuration from the multiple DRX configurations based on a second cast type and an associated second QoS information for a second SLRB configuration, determining a sidelink monitoring time based on a combination of an active time associated with the first DRX configuration and an active time associated with the second DRX configuration, and monitoring a sidelink control channel using the determined sidelink monitoring time.

Abstract: Light and/or Inactive state connectivity and/or autonomous mobility techniques are contemplated. A WTRU may, for example, have an inactive/idle mode, a light connected/loosely connected/Inactive mode and/or a connected/fully connected/Active mode. A WTRU in light connected mode may have a WTRU context stored in a RAN. A WTRU may perform an area monitoring procedure while in light connected state. A WTRU may engage in autonomous mobility during light connectivity. A WTRU may move within a logical area (e.g., a RAN paging area), perhaps without notifying the network. The WTRU may provide notice when it has moved outside a logical area (e.g., update RAN paging area). Mobility in light connected state may be network controlled (e.g., to enable handover when data transfer may be allowed and/or ongoing). A WTRU may be reachable during a light connectivity state. A WTRU may engage in autonomous mobility during light connectivity and/or an Inactive state.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for conditional handover (CHO) are provided herein. CHO configuration information identifying CHO candidate cells may be received. The CHO configuration information may indicate CHO trigger conditions associated with the CHO candidate cells, measurement trigger conditions associated with non-CHO candidate cells, and measurement reporting eligibility criteria associated with a serving cell. If a CHO trigger condition is fulfilled, and if a measurement trigger condition is fulfilled, and if the serving cell does not meet the measurement reporting eligibility criteria, a handover procedure may be executed towards the CHO candidate cell for which the CHO trigger condition is fulfilled. The method may include sending a message indicating completion of the handover procedure and reporting a signal measurement associated with a non-candidate cell. If the serving cell meets the measurement reporting eligibility criteria, the method may include refraining from executing the CHO while still reporting the signal measurement.

Abstract: A method performed by a relay wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) includes receiving an indication of a change in state of a remote WTRU having a paging link with the relay WTRU, receiving a paging message from a network. The paging message includes a system information (SI) change indication, wherein the SI change indication indicates an availability of updated SI information from the network for the remote WTRU. The relay WTRU transmits the updated SI information to the remote WTRU based on the received indication of a change in state of the remote WTRU.

Abstract: Methods and devices may be provided for aggregating component carriers in the licensed spectrum with at least one component carriers in the licensed exempt spectrum. Control information may be processed in a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) while receiving and sending information on a primary component carrier (PCC) and a supplementary component carrier (SuppCC). A PCC subframe with a control portion and a data portion may be received. Resource assignment information associated with a downlink shared channel on the PCC may be embedded in the control portion of the subframe. Based on the resource assignment information on the PCC, resource assignment information associated with a downlink shared channel on the SuppCC may be identified in the data portion of the PCC subframe. A SuppCC subframe of the shared channel on the SuppCC may be processed as per the identified resource assignment information associated with the downlink shared channel on the SuppCC.
