    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for addressing conflicts in a radio access network (RAN) includes generating, by a non-Real-Time RAN Intelligent Controller (non-RT RIC), a policy for a near-Real-Time RAN Intelligent Controller (near-RT RIC) by analyzing an activity log of several xApps, which are being executed by the near-RT RIC. The method further includes sending, by the non-RT RIC the policy to the near-RT RIC to cause the near-RT RIC, in response to receiving a request from an xApp from the several xApps to update a parameter of the RAN. The policy specifies an update the parameter based on the policy allowing the xApp to update the parameter. The policy further specifies maintaining the parameter unchanged based on the policy restricting the xApp to update the parameter.

    Abstract: A method, a system, and a computer program product for optimal link selection between user equipment and new radio stations in a non-standalone network. The method includes detecting a connection attempt by a user equipment to a non-standalone network that includes at least one base station and NR stations. The method also includes receiving connection data from the UE and connecting the UE to the base station. The method further includes determining an NR station from the NR stations based on channel quality measurements relating to the NR stations and the connection data of the UE using a prediction module that uses a machine learning model to predict the NR station. The channel quality measurements include cell range, uplink performance, cell capacity, and link quality. The method also includes connecting the UE to the NR station determined by the machine learning model.

    Abstract: An embodiment for coordinating edge computing in a mobile network by an MEC orchestrator. The embodiment may monitor deployment metrics and controlling deployment parameters related to a deployment of software applications on edge nodes of the mobile network The embodiment may receive an optimization report from a network orchestrator of the mobile network. The embodiment may, based on the optimization report, determine a current optimization efficiency of the mobile network. The embodiment may, if the optimization efficiency fulfils an inefficiency criterion, determine deployment suggestions having assigned one or more of the deployment parameters and being indicative of an expected response of one or more of the deployment metrics to a suggested variation of the assigned deployment parameters. The embodiment may transmit the deployment suggestions to the network orchestrator. The embodiment may, in response to receiving from the network orchestrator an indication of a selected deployment suggestion, apply the suggested variation.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for prescheduling resources for user equipment in a wireless communication system. The method includes identifying a first network-based client-server application and a first user equipment, wherein the first user equipment includes a client side of the application. The method further includes determining a first usage profile for the first user equipment, wherein the first usage profile of the first user equipment indicates an activity pattern of the first user equipment for the first application.
