摘要: In an absorption chiller/absorption chiller-heater wherein a pressure rise preventing means such as a safety valve, rapture disk or breakable plate is disposed in a high temperature regenerator or in the refrigerant vapor piping from the high temperature regenerator, with the discharge opening of the pressure rise preventing means being open to the atmosphere, in order to prevent the pressure rise in the high temperature regenerator, the discharge opening of safety valve is connected to low pressure units such as the low temperature regenerator through pressure relief piping so that, when the safety valve is activated, the refrigerant vapor and absorption solution of the high pressure side will be discharged to low pressure units such as the low temperature regenerator designed so as to generally maintain a vacuum therein during operation. By virtue of this construction, even when the pressure in the high temperature regenerator increases during operation causing the safety valve, rapture disk or the like to operate, it is possible to maintain the pressure reduction, assuring safety and avoiding the bad influence of corrosion due to open-to-atmosphere trouble, and also to quickly and readily perform the restoration.

摘要: A temperature t.sub.hg of a solution 23a heated and concentrated in a generator 5, an outlet temperature t.sub.r of chilled water 21a flowed from an evaporator 1, and an outlet temperature t.sub.r of a flow of cooling water 22 fed from an absorber 2 to a condenser 4 are detected. A maximum allowable heating quantity Q* of generator 5 is calculated by means of a temperature t.sub.hg, t.sub.r and t.sub.c. A present heating quantity Q of generator 5 is controlled so as not to exceed a calculated maximum allowable heating quantity Q*. It is possible to prevent a heating quantity of the generator 5 from being excessively restricted and to prevent solution 23a from crystallizing at an outlet 6a of the heat exchanger 6. Further, loss of heat which occurs owing to returning generated refrigerant 24 to the concentrated solution 23a is obviated.

摘要: In a box-shaped main body of a nearly rectangular parallelepiped shaped shell, an absorber, an evaporator, a low temperature regenerator, and a condenser are disposed sequentially in the vertical direction from the bottom, and a refrigerant sump of nearly V or U shape is disposed between the evaporator and absorber. Furthermore, an eliminator is disposed in an oblique direction at the side of the evaporator, and a purging enclosing member is disposed in the absorber, and a flush chamber of double structure is installed between the evaporator and refrigerant sump. This slim low temperature shell, and high temperature regenerator and others are formed into one body forming an element or module, and a plurality of elements are disposed parallel in the lateral direction, or disposed in the lateral direction and stacked up in the vertical direction, thereby forming a large-sized absorption chiller/absorption chiller-heater. In this construction, the machine width of the elements or modules for absorption chiller/absorption chiller-heater (combined structures of low temperature shell, high temperature regenerator, and other constituent parts) may be notably reduced to be slim and compact, and the elements can be easily transported as one body without being divided. By disposing a plurality of elements parallel in the lateral direction, or disposing them in the lateral direction and stacked in the vertical direction, the capacity may be easily enlarged.

摘要: An inexpensive variable inductor has inductance value continuously changeable without reducing a Q value. When a control voltage is applied to a control terminal of a MOS transistor from a power supply, a continuity region is formed in a channel, and a region between main terminals becomes conductive. When the control voltage is changed, length of the continuity region in the channel is changed. This changes length of a path area of an induced current, flowing in an induced current film. Thus, the amount of induced current is increased or decreased. Therefore, when the control voltage of the MOS transistor is changed, the inductance value of the coil is continuously changed.

摘要: A phase shifter comprises: a phase shift unit including a reactance unit having a first variable capacitance device, and a susceptance unit having a second variable capacitance device, T-connected to the reactance unit; and a control unit for outputting a control signal continuously changing the capacitance of the first variable capacitance device and the second variable capacitance device to the phase shift unit. The amount of phase shift can be continuously changed by changing these variable capacitance devices continuously. Moreover, these devices can be formed on a semiconductor, thereby realizing low-voltage driving and high-speed response. Furthermore, the variance of impedance can be prevented by adjusting these two variable capacitance devices, whereby transmission efficiency can be improved.
