    摘要: This invention discloses an improved enzymatic process, under organic solvent free conditions, for the incorporation of fatty acids such as omega-3 fatty acids into phospholipids. The rate of transesterification is increased 4 times by adding a base to the reaction mixture, typically an amine. The invention also discloses novel phospholipid compositions as well as novel use of the phospholipid compositions as a food supplement, a fish feed, animal feed and human food. In addition to methods for enriching prey organisms used in aquaculture, methods of reducing arachidonic acid levels in mammalian plasma/red blood cells and methods for increasing DHA levels in the mammalian brain.

    摘要: The present invention relates to the manufacture of conjugated linoleic acid, and in particular, to dietary supplements, feeds and food products containing conjugated linoleic acid. Accordingly, processes for producing conjugated linoleic acid of high purity and acid value are disclosed. These processes utilize alcoholate catalysts and esters of sunflower oil, safflower oil, or corn oil as the source of linoleic acid. The esters of conjugated linoleic acid produced by the process can be used in animal feeds and in food products suitable for human consumption. Furthermore, the esters can be converted into free fatty acids or incorporated into triglycerides.

    摘要: Novel compositions containing conjugated linoleic acid isomers can be used for controls in gas chromatography and for animal feeding studies. Purified isomers of conjugated linoleic acid can be treated to produce a preparation containing two isomers of CLA. The preparation can be used as is or further processed to separate the two isomers. The isomers can be used in their free fatty acid form or converted to alkylesters or triglycerides. Furthermore, the isomers are useful as supplements for food products or feed.
