Abstract:
A mechanism is described for facilitating dynamic game surface adjustment at smart play surfaces of smart play sets according to one embodiment. A method of embodiments, as described herein, includes receiving one or more inputs to perform an action at a portion of a play surface of a play set; evaluating the one or more inputs for generating an action plan to perform the action at the portion of the play surface, where the action plan is to affect one or more objects acting on the surface. The method may further include executing the action at the portion of the surface, wherein the action to adjust one or more properties of the play surface.
Abstract:
Techniques to transmit power across a wearable device are provided. A wearable device can include a conductive transmission line and a set of contacts, the set of contacts configured to be releasably connected to a second set of contacts on another wearable device. As such, power can be communicated to the conductive transmission line through the sets of contacts and transmitted across the wearable device, via the conductive transmission line.
Abstract:
Examples include techniques for real object and hand representation in virtual reality content. In some examples, one or more hands of a user of a head-mounted display (HMD) may be tracked while receiving sensor data from an identified object including one or more embedded sensors. Virtual reality content visible to the user on the HMD may be modified based on the tracking of the one or more hands and based on the received sensor data.
Abstract:
Techniques for repair and/or recovery of computer program(s) installed on a programmable device using a distributed ledger that is based on cryptography and blockchain technology are described. One or more self-reliance logic/modules can commit, to a distributed ledger that resides on interconnected devices, records of watchdog communications between the devices. One or more of interconnected devices may include a respective self-reliance logic/module. The logic/modules can use the records of the distributed ledger to check that computer program(s) on the interconnected devices are operating as expected. When a self-reliance logic/module fails to respond to a watchdog communication, the distributed ledger can be updated to include this failure. A self-reliance logic/module can determine, based on the distributed ledger and/or the failure, that an installed computer program is faulty. Furthermore, a self-reliance logic/module can initiate one or more software recovery services based on the determination. Other advantages and embodiments are described.
Abstract:
A mechanism is described for dynamically facilitating media play and real-time interaction with smart physical objects according to one embodiment. A method of embodiments, as described herein, includes seeking one or more personal devices accessible to one or more users; presenting media contents; detecting, in real-time, an update relating to the media contents; recommending one or more revisions to activities or arrangements relating to the one or more personal devices based on the update relating to the media contents; preparing a set of instructions detailing the one or more revisions to the activities or the arrangements; and executing the set of instructions to facilitate the one or more revisions to the activities or the arrangements relating to the one or more personal devices.
Abstract:
Systems and methods may provide for determining a first energy generation pattern associated with a wearable device and determining a second energy generation pattern associated with the wearable device. Additionally, a user authentication may be conducted based at least in part on the first energy generation pattern and the second energy generation pattern. In one example, a usage profile associated with the second energy generation pattern is selected, wherein determining the first energy generation pattern includes selecting the first energy generation pattern from a plurality of training patterns based on the usage profile.
Abstract:
The systems and methods disclosed herein provide determination of an orientation of a feature towards a reference target. As a non-limiting example, a system consistent with the present disclosure may include a processor, a memory, and a single camera affixed to the ceiling of a room occupied by a person. The system may analyze images from the camera to identify any objects in the room and their locations. Once the system has identified an object and its location, the system may prompt the person to look directly at the object. The camera may then record an image of the user looking at the object. The processor may analyze the image to determine the location of the user's head and, combined with the known location of the object and the known location of the camera, determine the direction that the user is facing. This direction may be treated as a reference value, or “ground truth.” The captured image may be associated with the direction, and the combination may be used as training input into an application.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, and systems to create, output, and use animation programs comprising keyframes, objects, object states, and programming elements. Objects, object states, and programming elements may be created through image analysis of image input. Animation programs may be output as videos, as non-linear interactive experiences, and/or may be used to control electronic actuators in articulated armatures.
Abstract:
Various embodiments are generally directed to an apparatus, method and other techniques to receive a biometric input of a first input type, determine a distinctiveness value for the biometric input based on a comparison of an attributes score for the biometric input with an average of attributes scores for biometric inputs of the first input type from the plurality of biometric inputs, and determine an input type to use to perform an action based on the distinctiveness value.
Abstract:
Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques for using little or no electric power to monitor whether a wearable device continues to be worn by a person such that it may continue to be used to access a secured item. An apparatus may include a processor component; a storage to store an access credential; a presentation component to wirelessly transmit the access credential to an access device to enable a grant of access to a secured item; a power source; and a clasp coupled to a wearable portion to prevent removal of the wearable portion unless the clasp is operated to change state from a clasped state to an unclasped state, the clasp to cause loss of electric power from the power source to the processor component and the storage when in the unclasped state to nullify the access credential. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
