Abstract: A stretching apparatus for use on a golf course provides a wall with a top ridge, a reclined plane and a curb platform, each capable of supporting all or part of a human body. The top ridge may have at its opposite ends, multiple horizontal levels of differing heights. The wall has an obverse surface against which the reclined plane is disposed, and a reverse surface against which the curb platform is disposed. The stretching center may have stilts that elevate the reclined plane above the ground. The preferred embodiment of the stretching center includes a balancing handhold at a centered portion of the wall midway between it opposite ends, extending higher than the multiple levels of the top ridge, for providing balancing support to persons performing stretching exercises on the wall or the curb platform.

Abstract: A method and system for event searching and suggestion is described. A method may include determining one or more result events to recommend to attend based upon, at least in part, at least one of: an indication of a location of a client computing device associated with a user, and an index associated with the event, the index based upon, at least in part, event content associated with the event. The method may also include ranking the one or more result events based upon, at least in part, at least one of: the index associated with the event and the indication of the location. The method may further include providing the ranked one or more result events

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to methods and systems for monitoring sub-systems of an aircraft to detect an abnormal condition, and for identifying one or more sources that are causing the abnormal condition. In response to detecting a trigger event during flight of the aircraft, data for a plurality of relevant parameters is measured and stored in a parameter file. The parameter file is transmitted from the aircraft over a wireless communication link, and relayed to a ground support network. At the ground support network, the measured data for the plurality of the relevant parameters is then used to identify the one or more sources that are causing the abnormal condition.

Abstract: Method, system and computer program product for protecting the integrity of data transferred between an input/output bus of a data processing system and an external network. A method for protecting the integrity of data transferred between an input/output bus and a network includes generating a Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) value on an interface between the input/output bus and an adapter for data being transferred from the input/output bus to the network, and checking a CRC value on the interface between the input/output bus and the adapter for data being transferred from the network to the input/output bus. By adding a CRC generator and a CRC checker on the interface between the input/output bus and the adapter, end-to-end data integrity protection is provided for data transferred between the input/output bus and the network.

Abstract: A method is employed to attenuate ultrasonic noise propagating in a flow stream of a fluid flow system. In particular, the method attenuates the noise propagating between a noise source and a reference point in the flow stream (wherein the reference point and the noise source are positioned in the flow stream in direct acoustic line of sight relation). The method includes positioning an absorbent element in the flow stream between the noise source and the reference point. Then, the ultrasonic noise is directed past vicinity of the absorbent element such that indirect ultrasonic noise is absorbed by the absorbent element. Preferably, the method also includes deflecting the ultrasonic noise to convert direct noise to indirect noise prior to directing the ultrasonic noise past the vicinity of the absorbent material in the flow stream. Such a method may be employed to attenuate ultrasonic noise by up to about 20 dB to 45 dB.
