    摘要: A golf trainer (1) has a ground-engaging base (2) supporting a rail assembly (3) and a carriage (50) for guiding a golf club (typically a putter). Foot guides (12, 13) are of thin planar construction, having curved front edges and are configured and located to both indicate a good playing stance and provide support for the trainer (1) while the fronts of the player's feet are on them. The rail assembly (3) comprises a central post (25), and left and right side posts (26, 27). The base (2) comprises a central socket (30) for the central post (25), a left pair of sockets (31) for the post (26), and a right pair of sockets (32) for the post (27). The rail assembly (3) is secured to the base (2) by inserting the central post (25) in the socket (30), and simultaneously inserting the left post (26) in one of the sockets (31), and inserting the right post (27) in one of the sockets (32). By choice of socket, the user can secure the assembly (3) so that the stiffening web (21) is in a vertical plane, or has a configuration which is generally cylindrical about a vertical axis. A club carriage (50) comprises an elastomer grip (51) and a and a wheel (55) for rotation on the axle (54). The elastomer grip (51) comprises a central through-hole (56) for gripping the shafr, and the shape of the gripping element and of a connector (52) allow self-tightening in use.

    摘要: A video graphics controller (VGC) for communicating with a frame buffer memory and a display device includes a first-in, first-out (FIFO)-configured memory, a memory controller for communicating with the frame buffer memory and controlling the FIFO-configured memory, and read and write pointers for the FIFO-configured memory. A subtractor is coupled to the read and write pointers for generating a difference signal which is coupled to the memory controller, and the read pointer generates a read carrier signal which is provided to a lock detector along with an end-of-frame signal. The lock detector generates an output signal which is coupled to the memory controller in order to place the video graphics controller in a locked mode of operation if no read carry signal is generated during an inputting of an entire frame of information into the FIFO-configured memory, and in an unlocked mode of operation if a read carry signal is generated prior to the completion of the inputting of an entire frame of information.

    摘要: The present invention describes a targeting system suitable for guiding a biocompatible device to a target area within the body (in vivo) and method of using the same. The system includes a targeting member that is attached to the biocompatible device and may optionally include a steering material. The system includes a passer element located at the distal end of a wand. The wand includes a trigger like member adjacent a hand grip. Actuation of the trigger like member will result in a pivotal movement of the passer element that positions the targeting member such that the connected biocompatible device is positionable relative to the target area.

    摘要: The invention provides a connecting rod for bone anchors such as pedicle screws. The rod is constructed to include a main shaft portion that is not bioresorbable and a tip portion that is bioresorbable. The tip facilitates percutaneous insertion into a patient's body. After placement of the rod, the bioresorbable tip is resorbed preventing post-operative complications such as impingement of adjacent spinal facet joints.

    摘要: A graphics controller produces a composite image through selecting between input image pixels, which are designated to be displayed in the same pixel location, by using a select function. The select function is computed on a pixel by pixel basis to provide a select signal that indicates which pixel should be chosen for display as the final composite image on the display screen. The select signal uses mixing key functions to determine which pixel should be passed. The results of these functions are output in the form of key codes. Key codes are combined by performing a logical AND operation between the key codes, and with a Raster OPeration (ROP) code. The ROP code designates which key code combinations are to be logically ORed together to provide an increased number of possible key combinations to determine the selection of the image to be displayed.
