    摘要: A latch jamb security plate in combination with a doorjamb having a front side facing a door opening and a back side opposite the front side. The doorjamb is formed with a latch aperture therethrough for receiving a retractable door latch. The latch jamb security plate comprises a planar plate member fastened to the back side of the doorjamb, and a single latch tongue formed integrally with the planar plate member and extending therefrom into the latch aperture in the doorjamb. The planar plate member has an opening therethrough aligned with the latch aperture in the doorjamb. The opening in the planar plate member has a continuous edge. The latch tongue is configured to extend from only a portion of the edge of the opening in the planar plate member.

The method comprises: mixing together a thermoplastic polymer with an organic fibrous material in a ratio such that the organic fibrous material constitutes 40 to 60 percent by weight of the mixture; extruding the mixture under heat and pressure to create a thin sheet form; cutting the sheet to a predetermined size; removing material from at least one surface of the sheet to create a homogeneous appearance devoid of obvious fibrous particles; thermoforming the sheet to impart to the at least one surface an exterior three dimensional door surface to create a thin door facing; and assembling two of the thermoformed thin door facings, a peripheral frame and a core material into a door.

    摘要: The present invention relates to rapid methods for the detection of ischemic states and to kits for use in such methods. Provided for is a rapid method of testing for and quantifying ischemia based upon methods of detecting and quantifying the existence of an alteration of the serum protein albumin which occurs following an ischemic event; methods for detecting and quantifying this alteration include evaluating and quantifying the cobalt binding capacity of circulating albumin, analysis and measurement of the ability of serum albumin to bind exogenous cobalt, detection and measurement of the presence of endogenous copper in a purified albumin sample and use of an immunological assay specific to the altered form of serum albumin which occurs following an ischemic event. Also taught by the present invention is the detection and measurement of an ischemic event by measuring albumin N-terminal derivatives that arise following an ischemic event, including truncated albumin species lacking one to four N-terminal amino acids or albumin with an acetylated N-terminal Asp residue.
