摘要: The present invention relates to a phase retardation plate including a thin organic film with a phase retardation function due to birefringence and a fixed substrate bonded to at least one surface of the thin organic film using an adhesive, and to an optical pickup device having the phase retardation plate. In the phase retardation plate and the optical pickup device using the same, a liner thermal expansion coefficient (L1) of the thin organic film, a liner thermal expansion coefficient (L2) of the adhesive and a liner thermal expansion coefficient (L3) of the fixed substrate satisfy a relationship of L1>L2>L3; and the thin organic film retards the phase of incident light with a wavelength in a range of 400 to 800 nm by π/2 or π, the thin organic film having a phase retardation value between 0 and π. Accordingly, there is provided a phase retardation plate and an optical pickup device using the same, wherein fixation between materials is securely kept against a change in temperature over a long period of time, thereby improving reliability of products and obtaining a desired amount of phase retardation for incident light of a wide wavelength band.

摘要: The present invention relates to a direct methanol fuel cell having reduced methanol crossover, which comprises a layer of material for controlling the diffusion rate of fuel. More particularly, it relates to a direct methanol fuel cell in which the material for controlling the diffusion rate of fuel is interposed between an anode and a fuel reservoir or positioned within the fuel reservoir, and thus, the diffusion rate of methanol is reduced even when using high concentration methanol fuel, such that the injected methanol is completely reacted in a catalyst layer so as to fundamentally reduce unreacted methanol, thereby suppressing the methanol crossover phenomenon and exhibiting high power density. In the inventive direct methanol fuel cell, the diffusion rate of fuel is controlled using the fuel diffusion rate-controlling material so as to suppress the methanol crossover phenomenon, thereby increasing energy density and output density. Also, since a high methanol concentration of aqueous methanol fuel is used in the inventive fuel cell, the fuel cell can be used for a long period of time even with a small amount of fuel, and the volume of the fuel reservoir can be reduced, thus making it easy to miniaturize the fuel cell. According to the invention, the performance of all kinds of direct methanol fuel cells can be improved and the fuel cells can be used as electric power sources for small-sized portable electronic products, such as portable phones, PDAs, and notebook computers.

摘要: A method for fabricating a semiconductor device includes providing a semiconductor substrate including a memory cell region and peripheral circuit regions. Gate electrodes including gate conductive patterns and capping patterns are formed on the memory cell region and the peripheral circuit regions. An interlayer dielectric covering the gate electrodes is formed. The interlayer dielectric is patterned to form first contact holes exposing the semiconductor substrate along side of the gate electrode in the memory cell region and second contact holes exposing a portion of the capping pattern in the peripheral circuit region such that a bottom surface of the second contact hole is spaced apart from a top surface of the gate conductive pattern. A first plug conductive layer is filled in the first contact holes and a second plug conductive layer is filled in the second contact holes. A planarizing process is performed to expose the capping patterns such that first contact plugs are formed in the memory cell region and second contact plugs are formed in the peripheral circuit region.
