An alignment tool for assembling a rear plate and a frame of a flat display panel is introduced. The rear plate includes a front surface, a rear surface opposing to the front surface for adhering with the frame in an aligning process, and an alignment mark located at the front surface. The alignment mark has a predetermined thickness and is protruded from the front surface. The alignment tool includes a base, a clamp arm and an upper arm. The base further includes a base top surface and an alignment notch. The base top surface is used for contacting with the front surface of the rear plate and the alignment notch has at least two alignment sides for matching with the alignment mark. The clamp arm is protruded from the base, and the upper arm is protruded from the clamp arm and used for aligning with the frame. The upper arm includes an arm lower surface parallel to and spaced apart from the base top surface by a predetermined distance for forming an open space in between. The rear plate is sandwiched in the open space during the aligning process, and the alignment mark is leaned upon the alignment sides of the alignment notch, such that the alignment mark is inserted into the alignment notch.

A plasma display panel(PDP) is disclosed. The PDP includes a rear plate, a front plate spaced apart and positioned in parallel with the rear plate, and a plurality of barrier ribs positioned in the space between the rear plate and the front plate to define a plurality of discharge space groups. Each discharge space group includes a first discharge space, a second discharge space, and a third discharge space. Each discharge space is filled with the different discharge gases including a first, a second, and a third discharge gas for respectively emitting of one of three primary colors. The rear plate of the PDP has a reflecting layer to reflect the light and prevent the light from penetrating through the rear plate so as to increase the luminescent efficiency of the PDP.

A display panel is disclosed. The display panel includes a substrate having an edge and a printed circuit board. A plurality of bonding electrodes are formed on the substrate, and positioned along the edge of the substrate. Each bonding electrode neither overlaps nor connects with any of the other bonding electrodes. The bonding electrodes are spaced from the edge of the substrate by a distance. A plurality of board electrodes are formed on the printed circuit board. Each board electrode neither overlaps nor connects with any other board electrodes. The position of each board electrode corresponds to that of one of the bonding electrodes. An auxiliary bonding pad is formed between the bonding electrodes and the edge of the substrate. When a conductive adhesive layer and a protective adhesive layer are formed to adhere the substrate with the printed circuit board, the auxiliary bonding pad can reduce a space formed between the bonding electrodes and the conductive adhesive layer, and also eliminates the possibility of the bubble formation therebetween. Therefore, the substrate is completely sealed with the printed circuit board.

The protective device includes a hollow shield with a first opening on a bottom end bonded to the doughnut-shaped base for containing the tube, and a binding compound for binding the hollow shield to the doughnut-shaped base. The hollow shield remains bonded to the doughnut-shaped base when experiencing a second force which is smaller than the first force. When the hollow shield experiences an external force greater than the second force, the hollow shield will separate from the doughnut shaped base without breaking the plate.

A plasma display device is disclosed. The plasma display device includes a plasma display panel having a display area and a non-display area, driving circuits, comparator control circuits, and heating elements mounted on the non-display area of the plasma display panel. The non-display area surrounds the display area. A part of the driving circuit and a corresponding heating element may be a Wheatstone bridge circuit. Each comparator control circuit is coupled to the Wheatstone bridge circuit so as to control the heating element. When a portion of the display area is lit, a heating element located on the adjacent non-display area is then activated through the current balance of the Wheatstone bridge circuit and under the control of the driving circuit and the comparator control circuit. Thus, the temperature difference between the display area and the non-display area is reduced.

A method of fabricating a color filter substrate is described. A black matrix is formed on a substrate. A color photoresist is formed for covering the black matrix. A photomask is located over the substrate, and then an exposure process is performed. The photomask comprises a transparent region, a partial transparent region and a no-transparent region, wherein the partial transparent region is located between the transparent region and the no-transparent region and is also located at the edge of the black matrix. A development process is performed for patterning the color photoresist. Since the exposure process is performed with the photomask via the partial transparent region, the issue that the height difference exists at the edge of the black matrix due to using black resin can be resolved.
