Abstract: A wearable repelling magnet assembly comprising a plurality of magnetic components and a retaining member, the retaining member forms a physical linkage between the magnetic components. The magnetic components each project a magnetic field and form a repelling sequence in which each magnetic component exerts a repelling force against the adjacent magnetic components within the sequence, creating a separation interval between the magnetic components and further redirecting the magnetic fields outwardly away from a magnetic axis. The retaining member may be configured as a loop to be worn about a wearer's body.

Abstract: A system may include one, two or more magnetic field systems. The magnetic field system may be configured to provide a magnetic field in a first direction to the tissue. The magnetic field system may include at least one magnetic field source to produce the magnetic field. The magnetic field produced by the at least one magnetic field source may include a magnetic field produced by at least one of a permanent magnet, a temporary magnet or electric current flow through a conductor. The same or a second magnetic field system may be configured to provide a second magnetic field in a second direction to the tissue. The magnetic field system may include two or more sources to provide the magnetic field in a second, third or fourth direction that is non-parallel to the first direction.

Abstract: A system for restoring muscle function to the lumbar spine to treat low back pain is provided. The system may include one or more electrode leads coupled to an implantable pulse generator (IPG) and a tunneler system for subcutaneously implanting a proximal portion of the lead(s). The system may also include a handheld activator configured to transfer a stimulation command to the IPG, and an external programmer configured to transfer programming data to the IPG. The stimulation command directs the programmable controller to stimulate the tissue in accordance with the programming data. The system may include a software-based programming system run on a computer such that the treating physician may program and adjust stimulation parameters.

Abstract: In certain aspects, the invention is directed to magnetic eye shields that comprise a magnet. When worn by a patient, the magnetic eye shields are configured to generate an intraocular magnetic field of sufficient magnitude and direction to move a magnetic therapeutic and/or diagnostic agent positioned inside the eye to target tissue within the eye. Other aspects of the invention pertain to kits which comprise such magnetic eye shields as well as one or more additional components, for example, one or more containers of a magnetic diagnostic and/or or therapeutic agent. Further aspects of the invention pertain to methods of treatment, which comprise intraocularly introducing a magnetic therapeutic and/or diagnostic agent into an eye of a patient and fitting a magnetic eye shield to the head of the patient, wherein the magnetic therapeutic and/or diagnostic agent may be introduced to the patient before or after fitting the magnetic eye shield to the head of the patient.
