Novel aromatic diamines having the general formula ##STR1## WHEREIN N IS AN INTEGER OF FROM 2 TO 8, X is sulfur or oxygen, and R is an n-valent hydrocarbon radical which may be interrupted by O or S atoms and which is obtained by removing OH or SH groups from a polyol or polythiol having a molecular weight of less than 600, are prepared by reacting a compound having the formula (HX).sub.n R where X, n and R are as defined above with about n-equivalents of an isatoic acid anhydride in the presence of a strong base. The aromatic diamines of the invention are particularly useful as the active hydrogen containing component for reaction with polyisocyanates in the preparation of synthetic resins by the isocyanate-polyaddition process.

Polyurethane resins are provided, which polyurethanes are chain extended with ester diamines of the formula ##SPC1##Wherein R is C.sub.1 to C.sub.20 alkyl radical and R' is a C.sub.1 to C.sub.10 alkyl radical.

The mold release properties of a molded polyurethane foam are improved by including in the foamable reaction mixture to be molded a reaction product of a polysiloxane and a monocarboxylic acid or polycarboxylic acid.
摘要:
The present invention relates to the production in closed molds, of foams with outstanding mold-release properties. These improved properties are obtained by including in the foamable mixture salts of saturated or unsaturated aliphatic or cycloaliphatic carboxylic acids having at least 8 carbon atoms and tertiary amines of the type in which the atom ratio of tertiary amine nitrogen to carbon in the molecule is between 1:3 and 1:12.

This invention relates to a process for the production of polyurethane foams in closed molds using mixtures of organic polyisocyanates with certain compounds which liberate carbon dioxide under the catalytic influence of basic compounds. In this process a mixture of polyisocyanates and compounds which liberate carbon dioxide under the catalytic influence of basic compounds is reacted with organic compounds containing hydrogen atoms which are reactive with isocyanate groups, which organic compounds are mixed with basic compounds and/or have basic compounds chemically built into them. The process is suitable for the production of any polyurethane foams in a closed mold, but is preferably applied to the production of semi-hard and particularly of hard polyurethane foams having a dense outer skin.

A process for preparing modified polyisocyanates in which an organic polyisocyanate is reacted with a polyamine present in less than stoichiometric amount. Polyamines suitable to this process include (a) polyamines having more than three nonaromatically bound, basic nitrogen atoms of which at least two are primary and/or secondary amino nitrogen atoms, and (b) polyamine mixtures having an average of more than three nonaromatically bound, basic nitrogen atoms of which at least two are primary and/or secondary amino nitrogen atoms. These modified polyisocyanates are particularly useful starting materials for production of polyurethane plastics by the isocyanate-polyaddition process.
摘要:
A process is described for the successive production of at least two non-cellular molded articles differing in their mechanical properties. Both articles are based on organic polyisocyanates which are trimerized in the presence of compounds which are reactive with isocyanate groups where the equivalent ratio of NCO groups to groups reactive with NCO groups is varied within the range of 1:0.8 to 1:0. In a second embodiment, a uniform article is produced having anisotropic mechanical characteristics varying continuously and/or stepwise.
