Abstract:
A molding method for producing a screw drill stator using an elastomer material includes: S1. sequentially roughening, cleaning and drying an inner surface of the stator tube; mixing an adhesive and a diluent, coating the mixture obtained on the inner surface, and heating it for later use; S2, uniformly coating a mold release agent on a surface of a mandrel mold, and heating or drying it naturally for later use; S3. assembling the processed stator tube and the processed mandrel mold to obtain an assembled mold; S4. performing a vacuum defoaming under negative pressure on a mixture obtained by uniformly mixing a prepolymer of the elastomer material with a defoaming agent; S5. uniformly mixing the defoamed prepolymer of the elastomer material with a curing agent, and pouring the obtained mixture into the assembled mold, sealing and curing the poured assembled mold by hierarchical heating to obtain the stator.
Abstract:
A method of making microstructures having re-entrant or doubly re-entrant topology includes forming a mold defining the negative surface features of the re-entrant or doubly re-entrant topology that is to be formed. In one embodiment, a soft or flowable material is formed on a first substrate and the mold is contacted with the same to form a solid, now positive surface having the re-entrant or doubly re-entrant topology. The mold is then released from the first substrate. The microstructures are secured to a second, different substrate, and the first substrate is removed. Any residual microstructure material located between adjacent microstructures may be removed to form the separate microstructures on the second substrate. The second substrate may be thin and flexible any manipulated into useful or desired shapes having the microstructures on one side thereof.
Abstract:
A method of lubricating an expandable rubber bladder is described for use during a vulcanization of a green tire within a metal press. The method can include applying compositions in the form of emulsions of silicone oils to the inner surface of the green tires and/or to the outer surface of the vulcanization bladders to facilitate the molding-demolding thereof during the manufacture of the tires.
Abstract:
The present invention is a method for manufacturing inflatable bladders for use in articles of manufacture. The method includes the steps of providing a first polymer film, applying a curable release coating to the polymer film in a pattern that corresponds to the configuration of the inflatable bladder, curing the release coating to the first polymer film, providing a second polymer film with the first polymer film to form a layered element such that the release coating is disposed between the polymer films, positioning the layered element between two plies of material, applying heat and pressure to adhere the polymer films together except in the area where the release coating has been applied to form an inflatable compartment surrounded by a sealed perimeter, and removing the plies of material from the adhered first and second polymer films.

Abstract:
A mold release composition is provided contains a minimum of three reactive moieties per molecule to provide for both mold adhesion and crosslink density. The composition is soluble in a VOC-free organic solvent or water, alone or with resort to an emulsifier. The composition can be used as a semi-permanent mold release in some embodiments.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method for producing ophthalmic lenses, preferably contact lenses, more preferably silicone hydrogel contact lenses. This method involves applying a coat of catanionic vesicles onto the molding surfaces of a mold. By having a coat of catanionic vesicles on the molding surfaces of a mold, mold separation force and lens defects generated during mold opening and de-molding process can be substantially reduced.
Abstract:
The invention relates to compositions in the form of silicone oil emulsions which are intended to be applied to curing bladders as a mold-release agent during tire production.
Abstract:
A method for strengthening semiconductor manufacturing tools is provided. The method includes providing a mold insert, forming a native oxide layer, attaching a release agent film, and forming a glass bonded SiOx release agent layer. With the method, a firm glass bonded SiOx release agent layer is formed uniformly on the surface of the mold insert to make the mold insert of semiconductor manufacturing tools much more resistant to abrasion and durable, extend the service life of the mold insert, cut production costs of semiconductor manufacturing, enable easy release of the mold insert, and speed up semiconductor manufacturing. Furthermore, the uniformity of the glass bonded SiOx release agent layer on the surface of the mold insert helps promote the yield when making sub-molds by the mold insert.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a bladder for use in manufacturing tires having a surface-modified rubber layer on an outer surface side of a base rubber layer, including the steps of: forming an uncross-linked body of the surface-modified rubber layer by molding a rubber composition including a modified butyl rubber composition and an organic peroxide and applying a siloxane compound having a (meth)acryloyl group to a surface of this rubber molded body; forming the base rubber layer from an unvulcanized body or vulcanized body formed from a rubber composition different than the modified butyl rubber composition; laminating the uncross-linked body of the surface-modified rubber layer on the outer surface side of the base rubber layer; and heat treating.
