摘要： It has now been found that certain novel heterocyclic derivatives have provided unexpected insecticidal activity. These compounds are represented by formula (I): R Preferred are those compounds of formula (I) where R2 and R3 taken together is ═NCH(R6)CH(R7)N(R8)—, ═NC(R6)═C(R7)N(R8)—, or ═CHN═C(R7)N(R8)—, and tautomers thereof, and where R4 and R5 taken together is —C(R11)═C(R12)C(R13)═C(R14) 1 12, —, where R,R,R 6, R 7, R8, R I1, R R 13, R 14, and X are described. In addition, compositions comprising an insecticidally effective amount of at least one compound of formula (I), and optionally, an effective amount of at least one of a second compound, with at least one insecticidally compatible carrier are also disclosed; along with methods of controlling insects comprising applying said compositions to a locus where insects are present or are expected to be present.

These compounds are represented by formula I: wherein R1 through R8, inclusively, and X and Y are fully described. Compositions comprising an insecticidally effective amount of at least one compound of formula I, and optionally, an effective amount of at least one of a second compound, with at least one insecticidally compatible carrier are also disclosed; along with methods of controlling insects comprising applying said compositions to the locus where insects are present or are expected to be present.

In addition, methods of controlling insects and acarids comprising applying said compositions to a locus of crops where control is desired are disclosed.

摘要： It has now been found that certain novel benzyloxyphenyl-substituted heterocycles are useful as pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicides. These compounds are represented by formula I: ##STR1## where Q is 1-substituted-6-trifluoromethyl-2,4(1H,3H)-pyrimidinedion-3 -yl, 4-difluoromethyl-4,5-dihydro-3-methyl-1,2,4-triazol-5(1H)-on-1-yl, 4-halo-5-difluoromethoxy-1-methylpyrazol-3-yl, a 3,4,5,6-tetrahydrophthalimid-1-yl, 8-thia-1,6-diazabicyclo�4.3.0!-nonane-7-on-9-iminoyl, 4-methyl-1,2,4-triazine-3,5-dion-2-yl, 3-chloro-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroindazol-2-yl, 1,4-dihydro-4-(3-fluoropropyl)-5H-tetrazole-5-on-1-yl or a 5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-1,2,4-triazolo-�4,3-a!pyridin-3(2H)-on-2-yl moiety; Z is oxygen, sulfur or CH.sub.2 ; n is 0 or 1, and W, X, Y, R, and R.sup.1 are as described in the specification. Preferred are those compounds where W is oxygen; X is hydrogen or fluoro; Y is methyl or ethyl; n is 1; Z is oxygen; R is methyl; and R.sup.1 is hydroxyalkyl or CH.sub.2 OCONHCH.sub.3.
