A laminate, adapted for manufacturing frames of metal beam leads that are bonded to integrated circuit chips, comprises(a) a flexible metal strip,(b) a layer of a first resist adhered to one surface of the metal strip, and(c) a layer of a second resist adhered to the opposite surface of the metal strip,the second resist being a negative-working resist comprising(1) a polymeric binder,(2) a photopolymerizable monomer mixture, and(3) a photoinitiator composition. The negative-working resist exhibits excellent flexibility and adhesion to the metal and superior performance during high temperature processing, whereby it serves effectively as a support for the beam leads.

Disclosed herein are heat-activatable adhesive compositions comprising a water-soluble condensation polymer which is characterized by having a glycol component comprising one or more diols, preferably one of which is 1,4-bis(2-hydroxyethoxy)cyclohexane; and an acid component comprising greater than 15 and up to about 35 mole percent of at least one diacid or diester monomer having an iminodisulfonyl salt moiety, and from about 65 to about 85 mole percent of one or more other diacids or diesters. These adhesives are further characterized as having high bonding strengths at temperatures above 50.degree. C. They have been found useful in a variety of photographic materials, and particularly in image transfer film units.

Polymeric photoconductors are disclosed comprising a condensation polymer backbone containing, as repeating units, the condensation residues of (1) a diacid, and (2) an organic difunctional compound capable of undergoing condensation polymerization with said diacid, and an arylamine photoconductor group appended to at least one of said diacid or said organic difunctional compound residues.A preferred polymeric photoconductor is ionic and comprises a condensation copolymer containing, in addition to the above described repeating units, the condensation residue of a second diacid containing an anionic iminodisulfonyl or sulfo group. In certain embodiments, the ionic arylamine-containing polymers are water-dispersible copolyesters.The polymeric photoconductors described are useful in photoconductive compositions and elements. Electrophotographic processes employing such elements are also disclosed.
