    摘要： Methods of cooling and sanitation of target items, particularly food products, food storage, and food transportation devices. A treating agent containing a sanitizing agent entrapped by or absorbed in or on a cooling agent is used when processing, transporting, displaying, or storing of target items. The treating agent can be used to chill and preserve target items, and while providing the added benefit of sanitizing the target item. This disclosure also discusses novel processes for using a treating agent to process, store, or package target items using a treating agent containing a cooling agent, such as solid carbon dioxide (“dry ice”), and a sanitizing agent, such as ozone.

    摘要： Products and methods for treating or sanitizing a target item to reduce or eliminate biological microorganisms in or on the target item. The target item is contacted with a moist sanitizing gas mixture to effectively reduce the presence of biological microorganisms without adversely affecting the quality of the target item. The moist sanitizing gas mixture of the invention is particularly useful for treating food products. The moist sanitizing gas mixture of the current invention may be formed by humidifying a dry gas and then contacting the target item with the humidified gas containing a sanitizing agent. Furthermore, the invention provides for chilling the target item, particularly food items, before exposure to the moist sanitizing gas mixture to preserve the fresh appearance, taste, and aroma of the target item.

This process involves introducing a cryogen and an antimicrobial liquid into a vessel, thereby creating an immersion bath. A sterilant is then introduced into this immersion bath. An object to be cleaned and sanitized is then immersed in this immersion bath for a first period of time. Mechanical energy may be introduced into this vessel for a second period of time.

    摘要： An electrostatographic type copying or reproduction machine incorporating a programmable controller to operate the various machine components in an integrated manner to produce copies. The controller carries a master program bearing machine operating parameters from which an operating program for the specific copy run desired is formed and used to operate the machine components to produce the copies programmed. A multiple prioritized interrupt system is employed to distribute the operating program to the machine. In particular, upon periodic interruption, control data is output (refreshed) to the various machine components and failure to refresh within a preset interval inhibits machine operation.

A fault flag array is routinely scanned, each flag comprising the array being associated with an operating component or area of such machine such that on a fault or malfunction thereof, the fault flag corresponding thereto is set. On detection of a fault flag, a machine fault is declared. Display means are provided to visually identify the fault location. A permanent record of certain faults and machine operations are stored in memory for future use.
