摘要: A fluidized bed catalytic process for conversion of light olefinic gas feedstock containing ethene to produce hydrocarbons rich in C.sub.5.sup.+ liquids, comprising the steps of maintaining a fluidized bed of zeolite catalyst particles in a turbulent reactor bed at a temperature of about 315.degree. to 510.degree. C., said catalyst having an apparent particle density of about 0.9 to 1.6 g/cm.sup.3 and a size range of about 1 to 150 microns, and average catalyst particles size of about 20 to 100 microns containing about 10 to 25 weight percent of fine particles having a particle size less than 32 microns; passing hot feedstock vapor upwardly through the fluidized catalyst bed under turbulent flow conditions; maintaining turbulent fluidized bed conditions through the reactor bed between transition velocity and transport velocity at a superficial fluid velocity of about 0.3 to 2 meters per second; and recovering hydrocarbon product containing a major amount of C.sub.5.sup.+ hydrocarbons and containing C.sub.3 -C.sub.5 alkanes and alkenes in the ratio of about 0.2:1 to 5:1.

摘要: This invention provides a fixed bed of nonuniformly sized grade catalyst particles for hydrocracking or hydrodesulfurization. The graded particles are arranged with the largest particles in either the upstream or the downstream portion of the bed. In either case, when compared with the conventional bed of uniformly sized particles, the graded bed of this invention shows enhanced hydrocarbon conversion activity for heavy oils over a useful range of conversion. Such catalyst bed is particularly useful in moderate hydrocracking operating at less than 1000 psig (7000 kPa) pressure.

摘要: An inlet distributor system for a fixed bed catalyst reactor which includes an inlet deflector cone positioned to deflect liquid in cooperation with a splash plate onto a liquid distributor trough positioned therebelow. An upper tray is positioned beneath the distributor trough to receive liquid therefrom. The upper distributor tray has a series of risers in spaced position thereon and extending above and below the upper distributor tray. The risers are hollow and open above and below the upper distributor tray to permit vapor to pass through the tray and each riser has a plurality of weir slots cut into its outer surface through which liquid can pass through the tray. A lower distributor tray is positioned beneath the upper distributor tray to receive liquid passing through the weir slots of the risers. The lower distributor tray has a series of risers and downpipes thereon arranged in a predetermined pattern. Each of the risers and downpipes in said pattern extend above and below the lower distributor tray and have openings above and below the lower distributor tray to form a through passageway for liquid to pass through the tray when received from the upper distributor tray. The passageway in the downpipes is formed by an axial bore therethrough and the passageway in the risers is formed by its hollow tubular configuration open at the bottom and having a side opening therein above the upper surface of the lower distributor tray each riser includes another upper opening above the lower distributor tray to permit vapor to pass through the tray. The pattern of risers and downpipes provide an advantageous arrangement of passageways for liquid to be distributed to the catalytic bed therebelow.

摘要: This invention is directed to an improved process scheme to process sour feed in the reaction section of the process unit, including isomerization dewaxing with zeolite beta. The instant invention employs countercurrent flow in the fixed bed of the MIDW(Mobil Isomerization Dewaxing) reactor (the reactor in which isomerization dewaxing occurs) with recycle gas being the gas stream in the MIDW bed. With this arrangement hydrodesulfurization(HDS) and MIDW occur in an integrated process.
