The portable terminal includes a main board including a ground layer having a predetermined area; at least one antenna radiator placed at the main board; at least one conductor installed or formed in the terminal and spaced apart from the ground layer; at least one switching unit interposed between the at least one conductor and the ground layer, the switching unit selectively connecting the conductor to the ground layer through an electrical connection unit; and a controller controlling the switching unit so that the conductor and the ground layer of the main board are selectively electrically connected depending on a state of the terminal.

摘要： An antenna device for a portable terminal, including a support pivotably disposed on the terminal, which is unfolded from the terminal and rests at an angle for supporting the terminal on a planar surface; and an antenna module disposed on the support. The antenna device is disposed on the support or is formed by the support itself, and receives signals through the support when a user wants to enjoy DMB service. The support is provided in the terminal to avoid a need of a separate portable antenna for DMB service, thereby improving convenience of use. Further, when the support is unfolded from the terminal, the terminal can be placed on the planar surface at a convenient angle for viewing, so that users can enjoy DMB service from a comfortable position.

摘要： An apparatus and method for reducing current consumption in a portable terminal are provided, in which upon generation of a task, a controller transitions to a Virtual Maximum Clock (VMC) level and changes a clock level from the VMC level according to a load state of the controller, to process the task. Moreover, the controller changes the clock level by at least one of transition from the VMC level to an RMC level, a stepwise increase from the VMC level, a stepwise decrease from the VMC level, and a hold at the VMC level, according to the load state of the controller.
