    摘要: The present invention relates to the isolation and characterization of nucleotide sequences encoding novel insecticidal proteins secreted into the extracellular space from Bacillus thuringiensis and related strains. The proteins are isolated from culture supernatants of Bacillus thuringiensis and related strains and display insecticidal activity against lepidopteran insects including European corn borer (ECB), tobacco budworm (TBW) and diamondback moth (DBM). Insecticidal proteins encoded by nucleotide sequences that hybridize under stringent conditions to the isolated and characterized nucleotide sequences are disclosed. Methods are disclosed for making and using transgenic cells and plants comprising the novel nucleotide sequence of the invention.

    摘要: Disclosed are Bacillus thuringiensis strains comprising novel crystal proteins which exhibit insecticidal activity against coleopteran insects including red flour beetle larvae (Tribolium castaneum) and Japanese beetle larvae (Popillia japonica). Also disclosed are novel B. thuringiensis crystal toxin genes, designated cryET33 and cryET34, which encode the colepteran-toxic crystal proteins, CryET33 (29-kDa) crystal protein, and the cryET34 gene encodes the 14-kDa CryET34 crystal protein. The CryET33 and CryET34 crystal proteins are toxic to red flour beetle larvae and Japanese beetle larvae. Also disclosed are methods of making and using transgenic cells comprising the novel nucleic acid sequences of the invention.

    摘要: An ammunition round for an artillery gun comprises, as an armor piercing nd, an outer tubular disposable sabot and an inner projectile which are joined by interlocking means to join them until exiting from the gun muzzle and separates them in ballistic flight. The interlocking means comprises left-handed threads and right-handed threads; both directions of threads being on both the inner wall of the sabot and the outer wall of the projectile. In one embodiment the two directions of threads are on axially tandem sections and in another embodiment they are on the same section, to form a herringbone pattern with raised diamond-shaped protrusions.

    摘要: Techniques are disclosed for performing color correction in a color printer. An RGB test image is printed to produce a printed calibration image. Colors in the printed calibration image are measured and compared to expected color values. A color corrector generates a printer lookup table (LUT) based on this comparison. The LUT may be generated based on models of the printer's print engine and previous LUTs. The color corrections are applied to subsequent print jobs to improve the quality of color output. Color measurement and correction may be performed using a closed-loop system contained within the printer that includes a color measurement device (such as a scanner) and a computer.
