摘要: Disclosed are an imaging device and a display device which both have a simple structure without any need of an image conversion. The imaging device includes a lens component group including multiple lens component systems, each of which focuses incident light from the object, thereby creating a non-inverted image of the object, the lens component systems being arranged in an array form and on the same level, and an image capturing mechanism for picking up the created image. In addition, each of the lens component systems includes an afocal optical system and an image-forming system. The afocal optical system includes at least one optical element for inverting an externally incident light ray relative to its optical axis and outputting the light ray. The optical element has uniform refractive index. The image-forming system includes at least one optical element having uniform refractive index throughout its interior.

摘要: An autostereoscopic image apparatus for picking-up an autostereoscopic image and optically transmitting and displaying the autostereoscopic image. The autostereoscopic image apparatus is constructed by an assembly of a plurality of optical fibers each having an equal length and a lens function. The length of each of a plurality of optical fibers is equal to a length that is integer times as long as one period of an optical path in the optical fiber. The first edge surface of each of a plurality of optical fibers is located on the same plane and forms the first edge surface of the optical fiber assembly. The second edge surface of each of a plurality of optical fibers is located on the same plane and forms the second edge surface of the optical fiber assembly. An arrangement at the first edge surface of the optical fiber assembly at the edge surfaces of a plurality of optical fibers and an arrangement at the second edge surface are equal. An object is picked-up on the first edge surface side of the optical fiber assembly. The picked-up image is transmitted to the second edge surface of the optical fiber assembly and is displayed on the second edge surface side of the optical fiber assembly.

摘要: In a three-dimensional imaging device, plural optical fibers which are provided with a lens characteristic by a refractive index distribution which is not uniform in a radial direction, such as a square-law characteristic, and which has the same length are configured so that the length &thgr; is an odd-number multiple of a half period of an optical path, and both ends of the optical fibers are arranged in the same two-dimensional manner. The configuration is used in a plural number so that a three-dimensional object is three-dimensionally imaged and the image is transmitted.

摘要: A television synchronization system in which a bipolar signal having a waveform including a front porch (304), a negative polarity pulse, a positive polarity pulse and a back porch is used as a horizontal sync signal, and a composite signal having a waveform including the positive polarity pulse, the back porch, a negative polarity pulse with a wide pulse width, a front porch and a negative polarity pulse is used as a vertical sync signal. When separating and reproducing the sync signals from a television signal transmitted through a transmission line, deviation of the reference phase can be eliminated so that the accuracy of the reproduced phase is improved. Therefore, the television synchronization system is preferably used in a high definition television system.

摘要: A contour compensation circuit that generates a contour-compensated signal by which a signal level of a contour of the object is emphasized, from an image signal obtained by an image pickup of an object. This circuit includes a reverse gamma controller, a contour compensation signal generator, and a calculator. The reverse gamma controller determines a standard channel from among the channels constituting the image signal, and obtains a liner standard channel from the standard channel by the reverse control. The contour compensation signal generator generates a contour compensation signal from the liner standard channel. The control signal generator computes a comparative value from the liner standard channel and the contour compensation signal, and generates a control signal based on a comparison between the comparative value and a threshold value. The calculator computes the contour-compensated signal based on the contour compensation and control signals, and the liner standard channel.

摘要: A process for taking a slow motion picture is disclosed which comprises: setting a plurality of cameras each having a shutter so that each of them can take an image with a similar view; and continuously taking fields of a subject by said a plurality camera in a timely staggered manner. In this process, timing of opening the shutter of each camera is staggered so that each camera takes a picture timely staggered, and a time for opening the shutter of each cameras is set to be a shorter than one field time of said each camera. Also, disclosed is an apparatus for taking a slow motion picture, which comprises: a plurality of cameras each having a shutter, arranged so that each of them can take an image with a similar view; means for setting the opening time of the shutter, which sets the timing for opening the shutter of each camera to be staggered so that each camera takes a picture timely staggered, and which makes the picture taken by each camera shorter than one field time of said each camera; and a recorder which records the pictures taken by each camera.
