摘要： The electric storage device is provided with a case body and an electrode assembly accommodated in the case body. The electrode assembly includes positive and negative electrode sheets each having an active material layer. The case body includes at least one primary inner wall surface, at least one secondary inner wall surface, and corner surfaces. A plane that includes the boundary line between a primary inner wall surface and the corresponding corner surface and faces the corresponding secondary inner wall surface is defined as an imaginary boundary plane. An edge of the active material layer of a positive electrode sheet facing the corresponding secondary inner wall surface is positioned on the surface of the imaginary boundary plane, or is positioned in a region spaced further apart from the secondary inner wall surface facing the edge than the position of the imaginary boundary plane.

摘要： A current interruption device includes a deforming plate, a contact plate and a conducting plate which configure a current path. The deforming plate includes one surface on an opposite side from the contact plate facing a first space, a pressure of which is retained to a same pressure as the internal pressure of the casing and the other surface opposed to the contact plate facing a second space, a pressure of which is retained to a same pressure as an external pressure of the casing. When the internal pressure rises above the predetermined level, the second contact portion is separated from the conducting plate by deformation of the deforming plate toward the contacting plate.

摘要： Immobilization tapes include first immobilization tapes disposed across an electrode assembly upper edge, second immobilization tapes disposed across the electrode assembly lower edge, and third immobilization tapes disposed across the electrode assembly side edges. The first immobilization tapes are disposed on the outer sides of two protrusion positions from a positive electrode tab and a negative electrode tab within the electrode assembly upper edge. One pair or more each of the first, second and third immobilization tapes are disposed over the electrode assembly. In the length direction of the electrode assembly upper edge, each of the first, second and third immobilization tape pairs is disposed symmetrically, centered around a central line extending in the top-down direction from the midpoint of the electrode assembly upper edge.

Tab groups each including positive or negative electrode tabs bundled in the stacking direction of the electrode assembly are provided on an edge portion of the electrode assembly. The tab groups each include a first bent portion and an extending portion, which extends from the first bent portion in the stacking direction of the electrode assembly. The tab groups also each include a second bent portion at which the tab group is curved or bent such that the distal end in the extending direction of the tab that is located at an outermost position of the first bent portion is positioned between the electrode assembly and the tab that is located at an innermost position of the first bent portion.

The electrode assembly includes two tab groups in each of which tabs of the first electrodes or the second electrodes having the same polarity are bundled. Each tab group and a conductive member are welded with each other by a welding portion. The welding portion has a mixed portion configured by mixing at least one of a metal that forms metal foils and a metal that forms the conductive member with a dissimilar metal that is different from the metal of the metal foils and has a higher electric resistivity than that of the metal of the metal foils.

摘要： An electric storage device comprises the current interruption device which includes a deformable plate electrically connected to a first conductive member and a second conductive member to constitute part of a conductive path. The deformable plate deforms to interrupt the conductive path, when a pressure inside the casing rises. The first conductive member, the second conductive member, and the current interruption device are disposed between the terminal attachment wall and the electrode assembly. The first conductive member extends along the terminal attachment wall to connect the tab and the current interruption device. The second conductive member is connected to the current interruption device at a location that is farther from the terminal attachment wall than a connection between the first conductive member and the current interruption device, and extends along the terminal attachment wall to connect the current interruption device and the electrode terminal.

摘要： A secondary battery is provided with first and second electrode assembly bodies and first and second negative electrode tab groups. The first and second negative electrode tab groups respectively have collected foil portions each constituted by a plurality of collected tab portions and extension portions. The extension portions of the respective tab groups have portions-to-be-welded and step portions. In the step portions, the plurality of tabs are laminated in a state that the end portions thereof are shifted in a step-like manner. The secondary battery is provided with an overlapped portion where the step portions of the first negative electrode tab group and the second negative electrode tab group are overlapped with each other in the lamination direction of the negative electrode tabs.

The active material layers have a large number of active material particles which adhere to each other, and spaces formed between the active material particles, as fitting portions. The fibers are engaged with the spaces while the fibers enter the spaces.

Each corner section includes a chamfered section, and a border section between the chamfered section and the bottom surface. The holding tape covers the border section from the bottom surface in a direction parallel to the bottom surface and orthogonal to the stacking direction, further inward of the electrode assembly than the side surface.
