摘要： A shift range control system for an automatic transmission, comprising: a first range switching mechanism for selecting a shift range mechanically; and a second range switching mechanism for outputting an electric signal, while a predetermined shift range is being selected by the first range switching mechanism, to switch the shift range electrically. Further comprised is a return switch mechanism for releasing the shift range, which is lower by two or more steps than the predetermined shift range selected by the first range switching mechanism, to switch the same to the predetermined shift range. Thus, it is possible to improve the conveniences for switching the shift range of the automatic transmission by the electric operation.

摘要： A display device is provided in a central position of an instrument panel in a vehicle compartment, and an operation device is provided in a center console. The operation device is formed with a case body having a palm rest, with is provided with a pointing device and four finalizing switches. A menu display window showing an array of multiple function selection items or a list display screen is displayed on a screen of the display device. The user selects a desired function selection item by moving a cursor by operation of an operation knob of the pointing device. In this state, the user ON operates any one of the finalizing switches, thereby performing finalize-designation. A user can thus operate the operation device from any one of multiple directions without uncomfortable feeling.

摘要： An alarm device generates an alarm when a distance between a vehicle and an object that exists in a set region in front of the vehicle is smaller than a set distance. A controller of the alarm device determines a tentative set distance based on at least one of a running speed of the vehicle and a relative velocity between the vehicle and the object, and then corrects the tentative set distance based on at least a deceleration of the vehicle, so as to determine a final set distance.
