    摘要: A shift range control system for an automatic transmission, comprising: a first range switching mechanism for selecting a shift range mechanically; and a second range switching mechanism for outputting an electric signal, while a predetermined shift range is being selected by the first range switching mechanism, to switch the shift range electrically. Further comprised is a return switch mechanism for releasing the shift range, which is lower by two or more steps than the predetermined shift range selected by the first range switching mechanism, to switch the same to the predetermined shift range. Thus, it is possible to improve the conveniences for switching the shift range of the automatic transmission by the electric operation.

    摘要: A fuel-saving drive recommendation system is mounted on a vehicle that includes a step-gear automatic transmission of which a gear is shifted in response to a gear instruction signal. The fuel-saving drive recommendation system calculates a required driving force based on an amount by which an output operating component is operated by a driver and a gear of the automatic transmission, makes determination for fuel-saving drive for the vehicle based on the required driving force and notifies the determination result. The fuel-saving drive recommendation system calculates a required driving force for performing output control on an engine and a required driving force for determining whether it is a fuel-saving drive state. A determination gear signal different from the gear instruction signal is used when the determination required driving force is calculated, and is changed to coincide with the gear instruction signal that has been changed.

    摘要: A diagnostic system for an automatic transmission is provided in which a microcomputer determines that torque that can drive the driving wheels of the vehicle is not transmitted to an output shaft of the automatic transmission when the vehicle is stopped and the ignition key is operated to the OFF position, and performs forced energization of solenoids of solenoid valves associated with respective friction devices of the transmission, while monitoring current passing through the solenoid valves. If the current monitored does not match the current for energizing any of the solenoids, the microcomputer determines that the corresponding solenoid valve is at fault. Thus, the diagnostic system appropriately determines the presence of a fault of each solenoid valve for controlling the hydraulic pressure to each friction device, with increased flexibility and freedom.

    摘要: An improved method and apparatus for removing sludge from a spray booth tank using a single pump for withdrawing liquid including sludge from the tank. A portion of the liquid from the pump is returned to the tank through eductors for agitating liquid in the tank. At least a portion of the liquid from the pump flows through a hydrocyclone separator. Sludge from the separator is collected in a settling tank. A small portion of the clarified liquid from the separator flows through an aspirator pump to the booth tank and the remainder of the clarified liquid is returned directly to the booth tank. The aspirator pump returns excess liquid from the settling tank to the booth tank.

The EDR is mounted to a vehicle (e.g., automobile) and includes a control unit that determines an event and controls a storage unit to store predetermined information therein. If the driver either depresses an accelerator pedal within a predetermined period after manipulating a shift lever or simultaneously manipulates the shift lever and depresses the accelerator pedal, the storage unit is controlled to store therein at least operating information on the operation of the shift lever and the accelerator pedal and traveling state information on the vehicle's traveling state. This configuration limits unnecessary increases in size of stored data even if information is stored on events that are not directly related to accidents.
