摘要： The invention provides a pharmaceutical composition that can be used for efficient administration of low-molecular weight drugs and polymeric compounds such as peptides and proteins by methods other than injection, as well as a method for producing the composition. The pharmaceutical composition is for transmucosal administration and comprises (a) a drug having a positive or negative charge at a predetermined pH, (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable small particle and (c) a pharmaceutically acceptable surface-coating polymer capable of being electrically charged at the pH, wherein the surface of the small particle is coated by the surface-coating polymer, the drug is immobilized on the surface of the small particle via the surface-coating polymer, and a complex is formed by a noncovalent interaction between the small particle and the surface-coating polymer and a concurrent electrostatic interaction between the surface-coating polymer and the drug.

摘要： Compositions and methods are disclosed for the treatment of diabetes and related diseases using peptides with incretin hormone activity. Preferably, the peptide with incretin hormone activity is GLP-1, exendin or an analog of GLP-1 or exendin. The peptides with incretin hormone activity are administered transepithelially using a transepithelial carrier peptide. The transepithelial peptide contains sufficient amino, guanidine or amidino groups to stimulate transepithelial delivery. In some embodiments, the transepithelial carrier and the peptide with incretin hormone activity are embedded in a pressure sensitive adhesive layer of a plaster or patch.

摘要： An apparatus for inserting a coil of wire into a pipe which includes a rotatable drum for taking up a coil of spring wire, a guide for guiding the coil drawn from the rotatable drum, a push-pull device for applying external forces to the coil for feeding the coil into the pipe and retracting the coil out of the pipe, and a motor for rotating the guide and/or the drum. The drum and the guide are formed separately and are rotatable independently of each other, which rotation results in rotation of the coil of spring wire. The coil of wire has a rectangular or trapezoidal cross-section which enables the wire to effectively run through bends in the pipe without deforming or breaking.
