摘要: The electromagnetic clutch comprises a rotor connected to a drive source, an inner hub connected to a device that follows, an outer plate provided on the outside of the inner hub so as to enclose it, an armature coupled to the outer plate and opposing the rotor, an elastic member provided between the inner hub and the outer plate and adhered thereto, and an electromagnetic coil for, when magnetized, attracting the armature together with the outer plate to make them come into contact with the rotor, and when demagnetized, separating the outer plate and the armature from the rotor. Because of the configuration in which the armature and the outer plate are coupled in a heat-transmissible manner, a part of elastic member is formed so that heat is transmitted from at least a part of the armature to the part of the elastic member as if they are one piece.

摘要: An electromagnetic clutch has an armature, a rotor housing accommodating a stator housing and an exciting coil having negative and positive terminals. A passage is formed to extend from an outer peripheral surface of the stator housing to the negative terminal and the positive terminal. The passage is filled with a conductive metal member having a melting point lower than that of the stator housing between the outer surface of the stator housing and the negative terminal. When frictional heat generated between the armature and the rotor housing exceeds a preset value, the metal member melts and flows to the positive terminal, thereby short-circuiting the coil. As a result, a fuse between a power source and the clutch is fused, thereby turning off the clutch. Therefore, the clutch does not need to have a thermal fuse therein and is reduced in size without increasing power consumption.

摘要: In order to reduce an electromagnetic clutch in an axial size, a ring-shaped leaf spring connects an armature to a hub. The leaf spring has an outer ring portion connected to the armature, an attachment portion connected to the hub and located inner than the outer ring portion, and a connecting portion for connecting the outer ring portion and the attachment portion. A plurality of rivets of the armature are disposed at the outer ring portion. An embossed portion for generating an initial deflection on the leaf spring is disposed at an intermediate portion between the rivets in the circumferential direction of the outer ring portion.

摘要: A torque limiting mechanism includes an axial space formed in a cylindrical wall of a pulley, and a pin protruding and extending from a back surface of a discharge disc. The pin is inserted into the axial space, and a rubber damper is installed between the inner surface of the axial space and the pin. When torque difference between the pulley and the discharge disc exceeds a threshold, a root portion of the pin is broken to separate the discharge disc from the pulley, thereby interrupting rotation transmission from the pulley to the discharge disc.

摘要: A spring plate member is connected to a hub. The spring plate member includes a plate spring portion generating a resilient force to separate an armature from a rotor, and an outer ring portion, which faces the armature. An elastic member is provided between the armature and the outer ring portion for connecting the armature directly with the outer ring portion. Thus, operation noises of the electromagnetic clutch and a compressor are efficiently reduced. Further, the axial dimension of elastic member can be made much smaller than that of the conventional cylindrical elastic member.

摘要: A power transmission apparatus comprising a pulley 1 and a hub 2 is disclosed. The hub 2 includes an inner hub 21 fixed on a rotary shaft 4 and an elastic member 23 coupled over a joint length L to the outer periphery of the inner hub 21. Elastic member 23 includes a hub-side engaging portion having a series of protrusions arranged in a ring and a cylindrical portion connecting the hub-side engaging portion and the inner hub. Pulley 1 has a pulley-side engaging portion having a series of depressions fitted on the hub-side engaging portion. The engagement between hub-side engaging portion 235 and pulley-side engaging portion 14 forms a torque transmission structure of hub 2 and pulley 1. An axial length TL of a torque transmission surface TS formed by hub-side engaging portion 235 and pulley-side engaging portion 14 in contact with each other is larger than joint length L between the cylindrical portion and inner hub 21. Axial length TL, when projected in the radial direction, is partially overlapped with joint length L.

摘要: A limiter device is provided in a variable displacement compressor capable of varying a discharge displacement per revolution and compressing a fluid in a cycle. The limiter device includes an operating characteristic acquiring means for acquiring a predetermined characteristic during a compression operation of the compressor, and a varying means for varying the discharge displacement of the compressor to a minimum side when the predetermined characteristic obtained by the operating characteristic acquiring means exceeds a predetermined value. Thus, the limiter device can prevent the compressor from being brought into trouble such as locking and can protect a driving belt and other auxiliary equipment on a side of an engine, while it is unnecessary to provide a pulley with a limiter function.
