摘要: A method and optical component prevent external light reflection and increase light extraction efficiency. In one example embodiment, an optical component is provided on a light extraction side of a light-emitting panel. After a shielding film shaped like a lattice or a mesh is formed on a transparent substrate, a resist film is formed, the resist film is irradiated with ultraviolet light UV from the back side of the substrate by using the shielding film as a mask, and development is carried out, so that an optical functional element is formed. The planar shape of the undersurface of the optical functional element is the same as the planar shape of the lattice or the mesh of the shielding film, and a positioning error between the optical functional element and the shielding film becomes extremely small.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a display not needing a complicated post-process for forming a reflecting mirror film and allowing degradation in an organic light-emitting device to be prevented, and a display. The method of manufacturing a display includes the steps of: forming a plurality of organic light-emitting devices in a display region on a substrate to form a light-emitting panel; forming projection-shaped reflection elements corresponding to the plurality of organic light-emitting devices, respectively, on a base to form a reflector; forming an adhesive layer along an outer edge of the light-emitting panel; and bonding the light-emitting panel and the reflector together with the adhesive layer in a vacuum atmosphere, thereby to form a vacuum layer in a space between the light-emitting panel and the reflector.

摘要: A liquid ejecting device includes a nozzle group formed by aligning nozzles that eject a liquid, and a liquid ejecting head that ejects liquids from the nozzles based on ejection serial data that represents ejection or non-ejection of each nozzle of the nozzle group. The liquid ejecting head ejects a liquid to a landing target while the liquid ejecting head and the landing target are relatively moved in a second direction that is perpendicular to a first direction in which the nozzles are aligned. The liquid ejecting device further includes a meandering correction pattern forming unit that forms a meandering correction pattern along the second direction in a margin outside the regulated landing area of the landing target and a meandering correction pattern detecting unit that detects the meandering correction pattern formed in the landing target by the meandering correction pattern forming unit.

摘要: There are provided a cooling device and a heat sink that can effectively radiate heat generated by a heat source while reducing the volume of discharged gas to avoid noise, and an electronic apparatus in which the cooling device and the heat sink are mounted. A heat sink 3 includes cutouts 24a and 24b through which air serving as gas can be taken in from the outside and which are provided on a side where air discharged from first and second nozzles 6 and 7 serving as openings of a jet generating mechanism 2 is received. Therefore, the pressure near the cutouts is decreased by air flow discharged from the first and second nozzles 6 and 7, and outside air is taken in through the cutouts 24a and 24b. Consequently, more gas than gas discharged from the first and second nozzles 6 and 7 is discharged from an outlet of the heat sink. This can minimize the volume of jetted gas to avoid noise, and effectively radiate heat generated by a heat source.

摘要: In a recording material guiding device, a second guide member is comprised of a hopper swinging surface, an edge guide member including a second side end guide member, and a liftup preventing guide. The hopper swinging surface is engaged in an opening provided in a side surface of a reference end guide serving as a first guide member. The second guide member can be slid in a main scanning direction with respect to the reference end guide (first guide member). During recording, a gap can be formed between the second side end guide member and a side end of the recording paper by sliding the second side end guide member from a first position to a second position, so that frictional contact can be prevented at the side end of the recording paper on the second side end guide member side.

摘要: A feeder is adapted to feed a medium to a down stream section in a first direction. A feeding tray has a supporting face adapted to support the medium thereon and formed with a groove. A first edge guide is provided on the supporting face so as to be slidable in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. A second edge guide is provided on the supporting face so as to oppose to the first edge guide, so that the medium is placed therebetween. An auxiliary guide body is provided in the first edge guide and having a projection slidably engaged with the groove, the auxiliary guide body being slidable relative to the first edge guide in the first direction and a third direction opposite to the first direction, in accordance with the slide movement of the first edge guide in the second direction by way of the engagement between the projection and the groove. The auxiliary guide body has a guiding face projected from the first edge guide in the first direction when a distance between the first edge guide and the second edge guide is no greater than a first prescribed value and adapted to be brought into contact with one of the side edges of the medium.

摘要: A method of forming a mask pattern includes a formatting step for formatting authoring data in accordance with formats of specified media either by a fixed amount at a time or continuously. The authoring data is obtained by an authoring operation in which base information, such as image information or audio information, is edited. The method of forming a mask pattern also includes a mask pattern generating step in which basic pattern information is generated from basic signal pattern data necessary for various types of optical disks as a result of carrying out a pattern editing operation, and the basic pattern information is used to generate a mask pattern by carrying out a mask pattern generating operation. In the steps of a conventional method, it is necessary to carefully determine the conditions which allow disks produced after a plurality of later operations of the method have been carried out to satisfy standards. In addition, it is necessary to carefully observe at all times that these conditions are maintained during the long time required to produce the disks.
