    摘要: A method of producing a magnetic recording medium comprises forming a magnetic layer by applying a magnetic film forming liquid onto a continuously running non-magnetic support, applying a magnetic field onto the magnetic film forming liquid before the magnetic film forming liquid has dried, and then drying the magnetic film forming liquid. A non-magnetic undercoating layer is formed on the support simultaneously with the step of forming the magnetic layer by simultaneously applying to the support a non-magnetic undercoating forming liquid and the magnetic film forming liquid. The magnetic field is applied before both the magnetic film forming liquid and non-magnetic undercoating forming liquid have dried.

    摘要: A process for fabricating a magnetic recording medium such as a disk medium having a uniformly high degree of magnetic particle randomization. The process includes steps of: forming a magnetic layer by applying a magnetic liquid to a continuously running support, and randomly orienting the magnetic layer by applying an AC magnetic field thereto while the magnetic layer is wet. The randomizing step is accomplished such that the magnetic field intensity of the applied AC magnetic field is 1/10 to 1/1 of the magnetic coercive force of the magnetic particles of the magnetic layer, and the frequency (Hz) of the field is set with respect to the running rate of the magnetic layer through the magnetic field so as to form a ratio to the application rate (m/min) within a range of 1/10 to 1/1.

    摘要: Linear movement direction of the stage and the actual deflection direction of the electron beam deflected by the first command signal for deflecting the electron beam in the linear movement direction of the stage do not necessarily align with each other for reasons such as the disposition precision of the stage driving device, a lens system, and the deflecting device. Therefore, the first command signal output from the first command device is processed based on the angle between the linear movement direction of the stage driven by the stage driving device and the deflection direction of the electron beam deflected by the first command signal so that the deflection direction of the electron beam aligns with the linear movement direction of the stage. With this processed first command signal, the deflection direction of the electron beam can be changed (rotated) to align with the linear movement direction of the stage.

Parallel scanning is performed alternately toward the outer periphery and the inner periphery of the disk. Elements of a transfer pattern, having lengths which are integer multiples of a reference value, are drawn by performing scanning a number of times equal to the integer that the reference value is multiplied by.

    摘要: A favorable magnetic transfer is, performed on a perpendicular magnetic recording medium. A permanent magnet apparatus provided with two permanent magnets, each having a width extending the length of the radial direction of a discoid magnetic recording medium, is used as a transfer magnetic field generating means. A conjoined body formed of the perpendicular magnetic recording medium, which has been initially magnetized unidirectionally in the direction perpendicular to the track surface thereof, and two master mediums, disposed on respective surfaces of the slave medium, is inserted between the permanent magnets. A rotating means rotates the conjoined body, in the direction along the tracks of the slave medium, while a transfer magnetic field is applied to the conjoined body in the direction substantially opposite that in which the initial magnetization of the magnetic layer of magnetic recording medium has been performed, so as to perform the magnetic transfer.
