摘要: An intermediate transfer belt having a plurality of layers including a conductive layer, and having transfer area and a transfer protection area. A CPU sends a control signal to a primary transfer bias generating circuit, and applies a primary transfer bias upon the conductive layer of the intermediate transfer medium through a bias applying member. The CPU changes an output value of the primary transfer bias in accordance with a predetermined bias change condition when a secondary transfer is not ongoing and when a non-image area, in which there is no toner image transferred on the intermediate transfer belt, such as the transfer protection area is passing the primary transfer part.

摘要: Disclosed is a method of testing electrical characteristics of a semiconductor device having a ball-shaped external electrode. The method comprises preparing a plurality of cantilever-type contactors each supported by a support plate at a given position, and formed in such a manner that a tip thereof has a flat surface with an arc-shaped edge in an outer peripheral region thereof, and a cross-sectional diameter in a vicinity of the tip is greater than a radius of the ball-shaped external electrode, and pairing the cantilever-type contactors to provide paired two contactors. The method includes the steps of: pressing either one of the support plate and the semiconductor device toward the other in such a manner that the arc-shaped edges of the paired two contactors are brought into contact with respective ones of two surface regions of the ball-shaped external electrode divided by an axis of the ball-shaped external electrode passing through a middle point between the two positions where the paired two contactors are supported, so as to form Kelvin contacts; and further overly driving either one of the support plate and the semiconductor device relative to the other in such a manner that the arc-shaped edges of the paired two contactors are slidingly moved along respective ones of the two surface regions of the ball-shaped external electrode to perform a wiping operation.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a belt-shaped image carrier adapted to support a toner image: a transfer roller; a contact/separation mechanism, operable to bring the transfer roller into contact with the image carrier to transfer the toner image from the image carrier onto a recording medium and operable to separate the transfer roller from the image carrier after the toner image is transferred onto the recording medium; and a rotation applier, operable to apply a first rotation to the transfer roller in a state that the transfer roller is separated from the image carrier. The rotation applier and the transfer roller are mechanically separated from each other when the transfer roller is in contact with the image carrier. When the contact/separation mechanism brings the transfer roller into contact with the image carrier, a circumferential speed of the transfer roller is made coincident with a circumferential speed of the image carrier.

摘要: There is provided a harness-fixing construction of a grommet in which an upwardly-extending wire assembly portion can be positively fixed to a tubular portion of the grommet, and the efficiency of a wire harness-installing operation is enhanced. The grommet includes a proximal portion for fitting watertight in a panel hole, the tubular portion of a generally L-shape extending downwardly from the proximal portion, and a protuberance portion which is formed integrally with the proximal portion and the tubular portion, and has a concave surface. The grommet has a passage hole for passing a fastening band (fixing member) therethrough. A holding mechanism for stably holding the upwardly-extending wire assembly portion in a desired position is formed by the passage hole for passing the fastening band therethrough, and the protuberance portion having the concavely-curved surface for holding the upwardly-extending wire assembly portion in a generally embracing manner. This concave surface extends in a direction of the length of the tubular portion, and the upwardly-extending wire assembly portion, when fitted in the concave surface in the longitudinal direction, is positioned properly.

摘要: A tire inflation pressure monitoring device includes transmitters for transmitting air pressure signals indicative of air pressures in tires, detected by respective air pressure sensors, and a receiver for generating a warning signal in accordance with the air pressure signals received from the transmitters. The air pressure signal transmitted from each of the transmitters includes an ID of the corresponding transmitter as an ID signal. When the receiver is in an ID registration mode in which the IDs of the transmitters are registered (S12), the transmitters are forced to transmit the air pressure signals, and if the number of the received air pressure signals is equal to a predetermined value, the receiver registers the IDs of the transmitters based on the ID signals included in the received air pressure signals (S20, S26).

摘要: When an alarm switch of a transmitter is given a long press carried out for one or more seconds in a timer-reset condition, a first alarm reversal signal is transmitted simultaneously with the setting (starting) of the timer. If the alarm switch is pressed within the set time of the timer regardless of a press time period, a second alarm reversal signal is transmitted, and the timer is reset. On a receiver side, the activation and deactivation of the alarm is alternately performed upon receipt of each alarm reversal signal.

摘要: A battery capacity meter and a method for precisely calculating a battery capacity are obtained by measuring a terminal voltage of the battery and sequentially calculating the measured terminal voltages. In a battery capacity meter of the present invention, a calculation process is carried out. After a power source is connected to the battery capacity meter, an initial value S.sub.0 under non-consistent charge state S.sub.i is calculated from an initial value V.sub.0 of a terminal voltage V.sub.i. Next, V.sub.i and S.sub.i are related to a current I.sub.i, and an equation for relating a variation amount .DELTA.S.sub.i of S.sub.i to S.sub.i is formed. Under this relationship, .DELTA.S.sub.i is obtained from V.sub.i and S.sub.i in a time interval .DELTA.t. A value of S.sub.i is updated. Either a remaining capacity or a fuel-gauge normalized remaining capacity are obtained from the updated value of S.sub.i. A process operation is returned to a step where .DELTA.S.sub.i is calculated, and this process is repeated.
