    摘要: The invention provides lenses at low cost, which form an illumination optical system for endoscopes that has high efficiency and achieves improved light distribution. The illumination optical system for endoscopes is used in opposition to a light beam exit end 1 of a transmission means F for light emitted from a light source, and comprises, as viewed from the light beam exit end 1, a lens group 10 having positive power and an optical member 20 subsequent thereto which has a spherical surface 20a that functions as a lens, has a radius of curvature R, and satisfies the following condition: 1.48≦S/πR2≦4  (1) where R is the radius of curvature of the spherical surface, in mm, and S is a surface area of the spherical surface, in mm2.

    摘要: Control of a packet communications network in a fixed network used by a mobile communications network is performed. (1) A communication hold mode is set for a user when the traffic volume of the user's transmission or reception of a packet per fixed time period is less than a predetermined value. The communication hold mode is defined as “although the network resources are released once, a mobile station and a gateway center at an interface with an external network behave to the user side and the external side as though the communication hold mode were maintained”. (2) When the user in the communication hold mode restarts the transmission of a packet, the mobile station automatically carries out a recall processing without the intervention of the user, and re-establishes the communication up to the gateway carrier. (3) When the gateway center restarts receiving a packet to the user in the communication hold mode, the gateway center carries out the incoming recall processing without the intervention of the external network, and re-establishes the communication all the way to the mobile station. (4) To accomplish the incoming recall processing, the mobile station makes a location registration when it roams across location registration areas after a transition into the communication hold mode.

    摘要: An endoscope observation system includes a light source section generating different types of light in at least partly different wavelength bands for observation of a polarized light-based observation image and for observation of a non polarized light-based observation image, respectively; an irradiation side polarization separation element subjecting the illumination light from the light source section to polarization separation; a light reception side polarization separation element performing polarization separation, in a particular wavelength band of the light from the observation target, by transmitting polarized light with a predetermined polarization component while reflecting polarized light with a polarization component other than the predetermined polarization component, and in a wavelength bend other than the particular wavelength band, exhibiting same transmission and reflection characteristics for both polarized light and non polarized light; and an image pickup element receiving the transmitted or reflected light.

    摘要: An endoscope includes: a first illumination optical system which emits illuminating light in a first linear polarization direction to an object from a distal end face of an insertion portion; and a first objective optical system which allows return light from the object to enter through an objective window provided in the distal end face; wherein the first illumination optical system and the first objective optical system are placed in a positional relationship such that on the distal end face, a line segment connecting an optical axis of the first illumination optical system and an optical axis of the first objective optical system is parallel or perpendicular to a polarization direction which results when the illuminating light emitted from the first illumination optical system is projected to the distal end face, and no polarizing element is provided between the object and the objective window.
