    摘要: The present invention relates to a paint film embodying a new parameter representing the resistance to raindrop fouling and having very satisfactory fouling resistance, particularly resistance to raindrop fouling, even ultra-low foulability, as well as high water resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, and crack resistance; a coating composition capable of providing said paint film; a method for forming a satisfactory paint film using said coating composition; and an article coated with said paint film. A coating composition comprising (I) a tetramethoxysilane partial hydrolyzed condensate and at least one member selected from (A) a film-forming resin and (B) an inorganic binder containing alkoxysilyl as a reactive curing group and having a water dynamic reverse tension (Tr) of not less than 55 dyn/cm; and an antifouling paint film containing the coating composition is provided.

    摘要: The object of the present invention is reuse of the filtrate of a paint mist-cleaning water mixture as cleaning water without reduction in concentration efficiency. According to the present invention, a waste paint-cleaning water mixture 2 available on trapping a water-based paint mist in cleaning water 1 is concentrated to recover the paint and the aqueous phase is recycled as cleaning water. In this system, the cleaning water prepared by reusing the aqueous phase is adjusted to an acid value of not greater than 10 and a pH value of 7.0 to 9.0. Controlling the amount of low molecular acid components in the aqueous phase in this manner prevents an abnormal viscosity increase in the filtration-concentration of the waste paint-cleaning water mixture.

    摘要: A phosphate coating solution for forming coatings on a metal surface is contacted with an anion-exchanger loaded or contacted with nitrite ions, whereby the nitrate ions present in the coating solution are replaced by the nitrite ions. This process permits continued operation of a phosphate coating process without replenishing a nitrite solution. This process also allows no accumulation of alkali metal and/or ammonium ions unavailable for the phosphate coating and provides uniform coatings with satisfactory coating properties on the metal surface.
