摘要: A plate roofing material is divided into an exterior portion which is exposed when a roof is covered with a plate roofing material and an overlap portion which is concealed under an exterior portion of a plate roofing material superimposed on the overlap portion of the plate roofing material. At least one longitudinal groove is formed in the surface of the exterior portion. The longitudinal groove has wide side surface parts alternating with narrow side surface parts with sidewalls formed of a plurality of stepped portions. The longitudinal groove has a linear bottom part having an approximately constant depth and is approximately V-shaped in cross section.

摘要: Disclosed is a member that contains electronic components. Using the member, when, for example, a vehicle or the like carrying electronic components such as an inverter collides with an external object, there is prevented damage to a housing containing the electronic components, which would otherwise occur due to interfering objects. Furthermore, the disclosed member can dissipate heat produced by the contained electronic components. The member includes a housing for containing electronic components, a cooling passage that is provided inside the housing and uses a refrigerant to cool the electronic components, and a heat dissipation part that dissipates heat from the cooling passage and prevents the housing from being damaged by impacts from external interfering objects.

摘要: A reserve tank includes a tank body for storing coolant, an inflow portion for allowing the coolant to flow into the tank body, a guide portion, and an outflow portion for allowing the coolant to flow out of the tank body. The guide portion is disposed above the inflow portion and below a liquid level of the coolant in the tank body. Furthermore, the guide portion is adapted to guide a flow of the coolant flowing thereinto from the inflow portion and directed upward, substantially in a horizontal direction or downward with respect to the horizontal direction. Therefore, the reserve tank can restrict air from being trapped in coolant.

摘要: The piping with a coolant inlet is provided with a partition wall within a body part. In the body part, a flow path having a U-turn region changing the flow direction of a coolant by about 180° degrees is defined. Much of the air contained in the coolant returning from a communicating hole to the body part floats up in a region leading to the U-turn region and is released from an inlet to the outside. By using this configuration, it is possible to provide a piping with a coolant inlet having a structure capable of efficiently releasing the air generated in a coolant circulation path.

摘要: A repeater which is installed as measures for silent zones, which automatically compensates for a variation in a light loss caused by a difference in length among optical cables interconnecting a master device and a plurality of slave devices which are allocated and installed in an underground shopping center or the like. The master device and the slaves devices both have current detectors for detecting current values of O/E transducers which transduce received lights to electric signals. Based on the detected current values, gain control signals are applied to variable gain amplifiers to change their amplification factors so that the levels of output RF signals for transmission to a radio base station and a portable station have a prescribed value, thereby compensating for the variation in the light loss of the optical cables. The present invention greatly facilitates the installation of the repeater and additional installation of slave devices.

摘要: A control device for cylinder reducing operation of a multi-cylinder engine for a vehicle controls the number of working cylinders in the engine more appropriately for fuel economy while ensuring the operational stability of the engine and comfortable drivability of the vehicle. The control device comprises a detector detecting engine output torque and judges if cylinder reducing operation is to be executed while referring to the engine output torque. Because of the detection of engine output torque, cylinder reducing operation will be executed as long as torque requested of the engine is available from the reduced number of working cylinders, thereby ensuring the generation of torque required in operating the engine while saving fuel as much as possible. Through a learning process, criteria for the judgment of execution of cylinder reducing operation are modified to be adapted for any variation of engine output performances.
