    摘要: As a structure for electrically connecting conductors of a flat cable (flat wire member) with a circuit board, an end of the flat cable is split into split pieces, and connectors (second connectors) are mounted at the ends of the respective split pieces. A connector (first connector) provided with two connecting portions for the connectors are mounted on the circuit board. When the respective connectors mounted on the flat cable are connected with the connector, the respective conductors of the split pieces are brought into contact with terminals accommodated in the connector. The flat cable or the flat wire member can be easily and securely connected.

    摘要: A connector assembly is provided with a connector (first connector) to be mounted on a circuit board and a connector (second connector) for holding a flat cable flat wire member). When the two connectors are connected with each other, an end portion of the cable is inserted into the connector to bring conductors of the cable into contact with mating terminals. The connector is provided with a plate-shaped holder, and the cable is supported on this holder in such a state as to be displaceable in widthwise direction. On the other hand, the connector is provided with a pair of locking pieces as a positioning portion. When the two connectors are connected with each other, the respective locking pieces directly come into contact with the cable being inserted into the connector from widthwise outer sides, thereby positioning the cable with respect to the connector in widthwise direction. The respective conductors of the flat wire member can be more precisely and securely brought into contact with the mating terminals.

    摘要: A fixture device for use in connection of a flat wire member of a terminal connector is so constructed as to bring conductors of a flat wire member into contact with terminals by mounting a connector at an end portion of the flat cable and connecting the fixture device with a connector mounted on a circuit board to insert the end portion of the flat cable into the connector. The connector is provided with a pair of pivotally changeable handles. The handles extend in a direction opposite from an engaging direction of the connector with the connector while standing upright with respect to the rear end surface of the connector. Then operability in connecting or detaching the flat wire member can be improved.

    摘要: A connector terminal is provided with a press-in portion extending in forward and backward directions; a trunk portion (joining portion) extending downward from the press-in portion; a base portion extending forward and backward from the bottom end (leading end) of the trunk portion, a pair of deflectable pieces for connection (contact portions) which are vertically resiliently displaceable, extend forward and backward from the base portion at the front and rear sides of the trunk portion and have contacts at their sides opposite from the press-in portions; and a leg portion extending upward from the rear end of the press-in portion. The connector terminal is inserted into a corresponding cavity from behind the housing with a leading end of the press-in portion faced forward, and is accommodated and held in the cavity by pressing the leading end into a fixing hole formed in the housing and engaging a hook provided at the leading end with the housing. Contact portions can be effectively prevented from undergoing a deformation (plastic deformation) during the insertion of the connector terminal into the connector housing.
