The cylinder block is associated with a crank chamber containing the fluid to be compressed and a lubricating oil mist. The peripheral wall of the crank chamber having a groove on the peripheral surface which groove collects oil and directs the oil to the shaft seal. The groove is partially curved in a direction counter to the direction of rotation of the shaft.

摘要： The housing of a swash plate type compressor includes a suction chamber and a discharge chamber. A plurality of cylinder bores are formed in a cylinder block connected to the housing. A plurality of pistons in corresponding cylinder bores are provided such that each piston reciprocates as a function of the rotation of a rotary shaft. A valve chamber communicates with at least one of the suction chamber and discharge chamber, and is provided between the housing and the cylinder block. The valve chamber is connected to the cylinder bores via respective passages. A rotary valve is accommodated rotatably in the valve chamber. A guide groove is provided in the outer surface of the rotary valve to permit communication between each cylinder bore and the associated passage in at least one of a suction stage and a compression stage of the coolant gas. A gas passage has one of its ends connected to the guide groove, and the other end connected to either the suction chamber or discharge chamber and is provided in the rotary valve. The rotary valve is coupled to the rotary shaft by a connecting member.

摘要： In a swash-plate compressor, pistons are slidably received in cylinder bores. A drive shaft is extended through a crank chamber, and is rotated through an electromagnetic clutch means associated therewith. A conversion mechanism is provided on the shaft for converting a rotational movement of the shaft into a reciprocation of each piston in the corresponding cylinder bore such that a suction stroke and a discharge stroke are alternately executed therein. A fluid is introduced from a suction chamber into the bore during the suction stroke, and during the compression stroke, the fluid is compressed in and discharged from the bore into a discharge chamber. The conversion mechanism is constituted such that a stroke length is shortened in response to an increase of a pressure in the crank chamber, and vice versa. A first passage communicates the crank with the suction chamber, and a second passage communicates the crank chamber with the discharge chamber. A control valve is provided in one of the first or second passage, and is magnetically actuated by the clutch for controlling the pressure in the crank chamber such that the piston stroke can be minimized whenever the clutch is electrically deenergized.

摘要： A plurality of pistons of a variable displacement compressor are reciprocatably disposed in cylinder bores which are formed in a housing. A drive shaft is rotatably supported in the housing. A lug plate is rotatable with the drive shaft. A swash plate is tiltably and slidably mounted on the drive shaft. The swash plate is operatively coupled with the pistons. A hinge mechanism connects the lug plate and the swash plate. The hinge mechanism causes the pistons to reciprocate via the lug plate and the swash plate, in response to the rotational motion of the drive shaft. The hinge mechanism includes a pin, which has a first and a second end portions. The first end portion of the pin is slidably inserted into the swash plate. A support arm protrudes from the lug plate, and further includes a bush. The bush rotatably supports the second end portion of the pin.

The high pressure gas supply passageway is formed in the cylinder block, and the flow choke is provided in a discharge valve assembly including a valve plate, a discharge valve element, and a valve retainer.

摘要： A variable displacement type swash plate compressor that prevents a drive shaft from moving axially when the difference between a crank chamber pressure and a cylinder bore pressure becomes excessive. A hinge mechanism has a support arm extending from a lug plate and a guide pin extends from a swash plate. The head portion of the guide pin fits in a guide hole formed in the support arm. A cutaway surface is formed in a part of the support arm that defines the guide hole. The cutaway surface forms a clearance in the hinge. The clearance permits the swash plate to move without pulling the drive shaft.

摘要： A single-headed piston type swash-plate-operated refrigerant compressor is provided with a swash plate mounted on a rotatable drive shaft and having front and rear opposite surfaces, single headed pistons arranged on the rear side of the swash plate to reciprocate in respective cylinder bores, and front and rear shoes to be held in slide-contact with the peripheral parts of the front and rear surfaces of the swash plate to engage a tail end part of each of the single headed pistons with the swash plate in which the front and rear surfaces of the swash plate are provided with respective uppermost layers having physical surface properties different from one another. A front uppermost and a rear uppermost layer of the swash plate are formed of a sprayed coating of, for example, a copper-base material and the rear uppermost layer is coated by a solid lubricant layer containing a solid lubricant, such as molybdenum disulfide, at least in a part of the solid lubricant. The thickness of the solid lubricant layer is measured and controlled by using the surface of the front layer as a reference plane.

摘要： A variable displacement compressor is disclosed having an improved pivotal mounting between its drive plate and the rotary journal that carries the swash plate. The pivotal mounting structure includes a bearing and a pin. The bearing is pivotally mounted on the drive plate. The pin couples the drive plate to the rotary journal. The pin is slidably mounted in a slot in the bearing so that when the bearing and rotary journal pivot, the pin may slide with in the slot. With this arrangement, the point at which a load from the journal is transferred to the drive plate remains substantially fixed regardless of the inclination angle of the journal.
