    摘要: A single-headed piston type swash-plate-operated refrigerant compressor is provided with a swash plate mounted on a rotatable drive shaft and having front and rear opposite surfaces, single headed pistons arranged on the rear side of the swash plate to reciprocate in respective cylinder bores, and front and rear shoes to be held in slide-contact with the peripheral parts of the front and rear surfaces of the swash plate to engage a tail end part of each of the single headed pistons with the swash plate in which the front and rear surfaces of the swash plate are provided with respective uppermost layers having physical surface properties different from one another. A front uppermost and a rear uppermost layer of the swash plate are formed of a sprayed coating of, for example, a copper-base material and the rear uppermost layer is coated by a solid lubricant layer containing a solid lubricant, such as molybdenum disulfide, at least in a part of the solid lubricant. The thickness of the solid lubricant layer is measured and controlled by using the surface of the front layer as a reference plane.

    摘要: A variable displacement type swash plate compressor that prevents a drive shaft from moving axially when the difference between a crank chamber pressure and a cylinder bore pressure becomes excessive. A hinge mechanism has a support arm extending from a lug plate and a guide pin extends from a swash plate. The head portion of the guide pin fits in a guide hole formed in the support arm. A cutaway surface is formed in a part of the support arm that defines the guide hole. The cutaway surface forms a clearance in the hinge. The clearance permits the swash plate to move without pulling the drive shaft.

    摘要: A variable displacement compressor is disclosed having an improved pivotal mounting between its drive plate and the rotary journal that carries the swash plate. The pivotal mounting structure includes a bearing and a pin. The bearing is pivotally mounted on the drive plate. The pin couples the drive plate to the rotary journal. The pin is slidably mounted in a slot in the bearing so that when the bearing and rotary journal pivot, the pin may slide with in the slot. With this arrangement, the point at which a load from the journal is transferred to the drive plate remains substantially fixed regardless of the inclination angle of the journal.

    摘要: A control valve is used in connection with a variable displacement compressor that varies the discharge capacity by controlling an inclination of a cam plate located in a crank chamber. The inclination of the cam plate is variable based on crank chamber pressure caused by refrigerant in the crank chamber. Monitor pressure is monitored at a predetermined point in a refrigerant circuit for causing a change in the crank chamber pressure and ultimately varying the discharge capacity. The control valve has a housing, an internal control valve mechanism and an external control valve mechanism. The internal control valve mechanism is located inside the valve housing and has a first valve body and a first reacting member. The first reacting member is connected to the first valve body for reacting to the monitor pressure to cause a change in the crank chamber pressure. The external control valve mechanism is located inside the valve housing and has a second valve body and a second reacting member. The second reacting member is for reacting to an external signal to cause the second valve body to change in the crank chamber pressure. The internal control valve mechanism and the external control valve mechanism operate independently with each other.

    摘要: A swash plate is mounted on a drive shaft disposed in a housing having a gas suction chamber in such a way that the swash plate is rotatable integrally with the drive shaft. A plurality of cylinder bores are formed around the drive shaft, extending along the drive shaft. Disposed in each cylinder bore is a piston, which reciprocates between top and bottom dead centers by undulating movement of the swash plate caused by rotation of the drive shaft. A compression chamber where gas is compressed by the reciprocal movement of the piston is defined in each cylinder bore. Provided between the drive shaft and the swash plate is a mechanism for altering an angle of the swash plate with respect to the axis of the drive shaft to change a reciprocal stroke of the piston to thereby control compression displacement. A rotary valve is provided at the drive shaft to be rotatable integrally with the drive shaft. The rotary valve has a passage for permitting uncompressed gas to move to each compression chamber from the suction chamber in synchronism with the reciprocal movement of the piston during rotation of the rotary valve before the piston reaches the bottom dead center. The compressor further comprises a mechanism for forcibly changing the timing at which the piston substantially reaches the top dead center in accordance with an inclined angle of the swash plate.
