    摘要: A backlight unit has a light source area. The width of the light source area in a first direction is shorter than the width of a liquid crystal panel in the first direction. A plurality of LED modules (31) are arranged along the second direction perpendicular to the first direction. End lenses (41A, 41B) and a middle lens (42) for enlarging a light divergence angle are disposed on the plurality of LED modules (31). The direction in which the end lens (41A, 41B) enlarges the light divergence angle differs from that in which the middle lens (42) enlarges the divergence angle. This structure can reduce difference in brightness of the liquid crystal panel, while reducing the number of light sources.

The second electrode is disposed between the first electrode and the one of the substrates, the second electrode is overlapped with the first electrode in the pixel region, is overlapped with the gate signal line, and is connected with the second electrode of an adjacent pixel region. A metal line is arranged for a plurality of the pixel regions, is overlapped with the second electrode, and is connected to the second electrode electrically.

    摘要: A backlight source has a spectral distribution such that luminances of red and green light are stronger than luminance of blue light. A color filter includes a blue coloring layer that can best transmit a blue light, a red coloring layer that can best transmit a red light, a green coloring layer that can best transmit a green light, and a porous layer in which penetration holes are formed so as to penetrate therethrough in its thickness direction. The blue coloring layer is formed so as to be thicker than the red and green coloring layers. A liquid crystal layer is formed so as to be thinner in a portion facing the blue coloring layer than a portion facing the red and green coloring layers. The porous layer is formed from the same material and to have the same thickness as the blue coloring layer.
