Abstract:
An inspection method for inspecting beads provided on a tire building drum in process of production a pneumatic tire includes measuring a displacement amount in a radial direction on each of the beads lying axially on both sides of the drum with a distance sensor such as an eddy current sensor while rotating the drum, synthesizing displacement amounts so obtained on the beads on both the sides, calculating a harmonic of the displacement amounts in the radial direction of the beads by performing harmonic analysis on a resultant synthesized displacement amount, and determining whether the magnitude of the harmonic so calculated falls within a predetermined range.

Abstract:
There is provided an inspection method for inspecting an object built on a tire building drum to make up a pneumatic tire with respect to profile thereof in process of production of the tire includes, in which data with respect to a profile of the object for a single rotation of the tire building drum is acquired by a two-dimension laser sensor having a detection range along a lateral direction of the object while rotating the drum. Then, using the data so acquired, a radial run-out (RRO) in a circumferential direction of the tire is averaged out in a lateral direction of the object for harmonic analysis, and whether or not the magnitude of the harmonic obtained as a result of the analysis falls within a predetermined range is determined.

[Task] To enable a test of an optical transmission path using an MMF with a simple configuration in an optical pulse test apparatus which is used for an SFM for long-distance transmission.[Means for Resolution] An optical coupler 22, a light source 21, a connector 23, and an optical receiver 25 are respectively connected to each other by SMF optical paths Fa to Fc. A signal processing unit 30 includes fiber type designation means 31a for designating the type of an optical fiber of a test-target optical transmission path 1 as either an SMF or an MMF, SMF parameter designation means 31b for, when an SMF is designated, designating test parameters including the refractive index of the SMF, and MMF parameter designation means 31c for, when an MMF is designated, designating test parameters including the refractive index of the MMF. The transmission characteristic of the optical transmission path 1 using the designated optical fiber with respect to distance is obtained on the basis of the parameters including the refractive index of the designated optical fiber and intensity data of return light Pr and displayed on a display unit 50.
Abstract:
A resin binder for use in a toner, containing an amorphous polyester having a furan ring; and a toner for electrophotography, containing the resin binder. The resin binder for use in a toner of the present invention is suitably used in a toner usable in development of latent images formed in electrophotography, an electrostatic recording method, an electrostatic printing method, or the like.
Abstract:
A method of network acquisition for a cellular radio communications device arranged for operation in accordance with a plurality of radio technologies and comprising searching to identify a suitable cell on one radio technology. Subsequent to identifying a suitable cell on the one radio technology, cells on another of the plurality of radio technologies are also monitored in order to identify if one of the monitored cells is more suitable than the cell identified on the one radio technology. Subsequent to the monitoring, the cell identified from all of the radio technologies searched as the most suitable is selected and camping for the first time occurs onto that cell.
Abstract:
An anisotropic thin-film rare-earth permanent magnet endowed with high magnetic characteristics by rendering a vapor-phase-grown thin film anisotropic in the layering direction. The atomic laminate units are formed by laminating a monoatomic layer of a rare earth element on a substrate of a non-magnetic material having, a flat smoothness and then by laminating an atomic laminate of a transition metal element having a plurality of monoatomic layers of a transition metal element, so that the atomic laminate units of a characteristic construction are laminated in a plurality of layers. As a result, each atomic laminate of the transition metal element has an easy magnetizable axis in the laminate direction of the monoatomic layers and which are sandwiched between a monoatomic layer of a rare-earth element so that an inverse magnetic domain is suppressed to establish a strong coercive force. Moreover, the content of the transition metal element to the rare-earth metal is raised to improve the residual magnetic flux density drastically.

The present invention realizes on an electronic shopping system a discount service that makes use of a discount coupon. Electronic data that serves as a discount coupon comprises data for identifying a product to be discounted, data for indicating a discount amount, and an electronic signature, and the like. The discount coupon is provided to a customer computer having as the media electronic mail, an Internet site, CD-ROM and so forth. The customer computer sends the discount coupon together with data indicating the purchase product and purchase quantity when ordering a product at a merchant Internet site. The merchant computer provides a discount service to a customer when the electronic signature of the received discount coupon is valid.
Abstract:
The purpose of this invention is to present fabrication methods and equipment for granulated powders whereby, the reaction between the R--Fe--B-type or R--Co-type rare earth containing alloy powders and the binder is controlled, the residual oxygen and carbon content of the sintered products after sintering is reduced, and whereby it is possible to obtain isotropic or anisotropic granulated powders having good powder flowability and lubrication properties when molding. After stirring a slurry of rare earth containing alloy powders formed by adding a binder consisting of water and at least one of either methyl cellulose, polyacryl amide or polyvinyl alcohol, and mixing, oriented liquid droplets are formed by applying a magnetic field to the slurry to orientate the said powder particles and spraying within the chamber of a spray dryer apparatus. By instantaneously dry solidifying these anisotropic granulated powders, it is possible to fabricate spherical granulated powders with good magnetic properties and a high flowability whereby the flowability and lubrication properties of the powder at the time of compression molding are improved, as well as improving the molding cycle and the dimensional precision of the molded product.
