摘要: An oxygen absorbing sheet is disclosed, which is obtained by molding a resin composition comprising from 15 to 70% by weight of a thermoplastic resin and from 30 to 85% by weight of an oxygen absorbent into a sheet having a thickness of from 10 .mu.m to 5 mm and stretching the sheet at least uniaxially at a stretch ratio of from 1.5 to 8.0. The oxygen absorbing sheet is easy to handle, and its oxygen absorption capacity is arbitrarily controllable.

摘要: A mulching film which comprises a reflective film layer having a reflective peak at a wavelength of less than 0.4 .mu.m and a reflective spectrum having not less than 1.4 of a ratio (R.sub.A /R.sub.B) of the ultraviolet peak reflectance (R.sub.A) and the visible light reflectance at a wavelength of 0.5 .mu.m (R.sub.B) and a black film layer, which is effective for repelling insect pests harmful for various crops and other plants by covering ground for plantation and for lowering of the underground temperature and also for the prevention of the propagation of weeds.

摘要: A breathable film and a process for producing the same are disclosed, the breathable film comprising a resin composition comprising (1) 100 parts by weight of a linear low-density polyethylene resin having a density of from 0.870 to 0.915 g/cm.sup.3 and containing from 15 to 50% by weight of a component which is extractable with xylene at room temperature and which has a weight average molecular chain length of from 1,000 to 9,000 .ANG.; (2) from 50 to 400 parts by weight of a filler; and optionally, (3) from 0.5 to 8 parts by weight of a nonionic surface active agent. The breathable film of the invention not only has excellent film moldability and film stretchability but also shows high breathability, good touch and appearance, and high strength.

摘要: An insect pest-repelling film or sheet is disclosed, having a reflective spectrum in a ultraviolet region of a wavelength of less than 0.4 .mu.m, particularly a reflective spectrum peak at a wavelength of less than 0.4 .mu.m, a reflective spectrum having not less than 1.4 of a ratio (R.sub.A /R.sub.B) of the ultraviolet reflectance (R.sub.A) and a visible light reflectance of a wavelength of 0.5 .mu.m (R.sub.B) and a visible light transmission of not less than 40%. The film is useful as a cover of houses and tunnels or mulching of ground for crop culture or as a repellent for various insect pests in agriculture, forestry, and gardening.

摘要: A polypropylene-based resin film of a resin composition (C) comprising: 40 to 95 wt % of a propylene-based copolymer (A) selected from a propylene random copolymer (i) of propylene with ethylene and/or &agr;-olefin and a propylene-based copolymer (ii) composed of 1 to 30 wt % of a component (a) obtained by copolymerizing propylene, an &agr;-olefin and ethylene in a first step; and 70 to 99 wt % of a component (b) obtained by copolymerizing those in the subsequent step, in which the copolymerization ratio is different from that in the first step; and 5 to 60 wt % of a polypropylene-ethylene and/or &agr;-olefin block copolymer (B) having a CXS of 5.0 wt % or more, wherein the CXS has a content of ethylene and/or the &agr;-olefin of 14 to 35 mol %, and wherein the heat-seal temperature of the film of the (C) is lower by 3° C. or more than those of respective films of the (A) and (B).

摘要: A propylene block copolymer having a specified composition and consisting of a xylene soluble portion at 20.degree. C. in an amount of 5 wt % or more and a portion excluding the CXS portion, the melting temperature of the CXIS portion measured by a differential scanning caloriemeter being 130 to 155.degree. C., wherein the difference in transparency in terms of haze between prior to and posterior to the 1-hour treatment at 110.degree. C of a 150 .mu.m thick film obtained by forming said copolymer into a film by extrusion is 8% or less.According to the present invention, a block copolymer having a good transparency and improved impact resistance at a low temperature, and further exhibiting less bleeding at high-temperature heat treatment, can be provided.

摘要: A pedestrian detecting device for a vehicle comprises a far-infrared camera picking up a far-infrared image outside the vehicle, an area-candidate extracting portion extracting an area candidate containing a pedestrian image from the far-infrared image picked up, an environment detecting device detecting an environment outside the vehicle that influences the far-infrared image, a ROM storing a pedestrian model in the far-infrared image in association with the environment outside the vehicle, a pedestrian-model extracting portion extracting a pedestrian model associated with the environment that is detected by the environment detecting device from the ROM, and a pedestrian determining portion determining, for a pedestrian detection, whether or not the area candidate contains the pedestrian image, by comparing the area candidate extracted to the pedestrian model extracted. Accordingly, the detection accuracy of the pedestrian can be improved.
