摘要: A contact lens case including a cylindrical container body, a cap member for closing an opening of the container body, a support member which is attached at one end thereof to the cap member to extend therefrom in an axial direction of the container body, and a lens holder rotatably supported by the support member. The lens holder has one or more lens storage chamber each receiving the contact lens, and a plurality of holes which permit a liquid to flow therethrough. The present contact lens case further includes a detent structure for holding the lens holder selectively in a horizontal position in which the contact lens received in the holder has a horizontal attitude perpendicular to the axial direction of the container body, or in a vertical position in which the contact lens received has a vertical attitude parallel to the axial direction of the container body. Also disclosed is a lens treating device which uses the present contact lens case as an inner case that is axially slidden within an outer case for cleaning the contact lens stored therein.

摘要: There is provided a display device that includes a display portion and a drive compensation portion. The display portion line-sequentially displays, in an image display region, a first image based on a first image signal and a second image based on a second image signal, by sequentially switching the first image and the second image at a predetermined interval. The drive compensation portion performs predetermined drive compensation on the first image signal and the second image signal input to the display portion, in accordance with a position of the image display region, a luminance of the first image and a luminance of the second image. The predetermined drive compensation is performed such that an average luminance of the first image or the second image becomes substantially uniform in the image display region during a predetermined period that is shorter than the predetermined interval.

摘要: A fuel feed system which causes liquid fuel to evaporate so as to feed gaseous fuel, provided with an evaporator which includes a heater which heats the liquid fuel to vaporize it and an electric heater which adjusts the temperature of the heater. The heater has a heat conduction surface which supplies heat to the liquid fuel. A difference between the temperature of the heat conduction surface of the heater and the boiling point of the fuel at the evaporator is used as the basis to change the temperature of the heater and adjust the heat flux at the heat conduction surface.

摘要: A plurality of images are alternately switched and displayed on the screen in a very short cycle while preventing crosstalk between the images.Because a backlight 12 is lit on the liquid crystal display 10 side after a shutter mechanism on the shutter glasses 20 side has responded sufficiently, there is no adverse effect caused by lack of response at the time of rising of the shutter mechanism. Also, it is possible to raise peak brightness in comparison to the method of keeping the backlight 12 lit at all times, thereby enabling an improvement in brightness when displaying a stereoscopic image. On the other hand, a drop in the temperature of a liquid crystal display panel 11 following extinguishing of the backlight 12 becomes less, and so does deterioration of crosstalk.

摘要: There is provided a display device including an array substrate including pixels arranged in a matrix manner and gate control circuits that scan gate lines of the pixels and that are provided on the array substrate such that the gate control circuits correspond to the respective gate lines of the pixels. Each of the gate control circuits includes a first output terminal that outputs a signal to each of the gate lines, and a second output terminal that outputs a signal that is supplied to a gate control circuit in a subsequent stage. When adjacent two of the gate lines are scanned simultaneously from an upper part of a screen by the signal output from the first output terminal of each of the gate control circuits, a gate on period is provided during which outputs from the first output terminals of adjacent two of the gate control circuits are the same.

摘要: The object of the present invention is to provide a reliable alkaline storage battery having a structure by which a short circuit between the electrodes can be prevented in the manufacturing procedures. To achieve this object, the present invention provides a cylindrical battery that includes an electrode assembly including a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate spirally wound together and sandwiching a separator. The collector plate includes a main body. One or more convex parts, each having a top extending linearly, are formed on a main surface of the main body by bending processing. A part of at least one of the convex part is cut out to form a cutout region. The collector plate is welded to the end part of the electrode assembly at the top of each convex part.

摘要: A timepiece comprises a reception subunit, a timekeeping unit that holds internal time data indicative of the current time, storage, and a CPU. The CPU determines whether the internal time data acquired from the timekeeping unit matches correction time data stored in storage, selects a GPS satellite represented by satellite identification data stored in the storage when the determination is affirmative, acquires GPS time data included in navigation data which in turn is included in a GPS signal obtained from the selected GPS satellite, corrects the internal time data based on the GPS time data, and stores the correction time data in correspondence to the satellite identification data representing that GPS satellite.

摘要: A position determining system, a receiving system, a method of determining the position of a movable object and a method of receiving data regarding the position of the movable object are provided. The position determining system comprise a position determining unit, a display unit and a controller. The position determining unit determines the position of a movable object based on position information sent from GPS satellites. The display unit displays the position of the movable object which has been determined by the position determining unit. The controller controls a time interval at which the position of the movable object is determined by said position determining unit, in accordance with a degree of position change occurring in the position to be displayed on the display unit. Accordingly, in the position determining system, elimination of consumption power can be realized in a position determination process which is not necessarily performed, while the system is advantageously handled.
