Abstract:
A wireless piano-touch electric sound producer comprises a keyboard assoicated with key action mechanisms and hammers driven for rotation upon depressing the assoicated keys, and a board accompanied with an absorber is shared between the hammer units for scaling down of the electric sound producer, wherein a memory unit stores pieces of vibratory information for reproducing sounds from vibrations on musical wires and board members of an acoustic piano so that a driver unit produces vibrations on a sound board of the electric sound producer on the basis of one of the pieces of vibratory information selected upon detecting actions of the keys to the hammers.
Abstract:
A hammer movement detection device for detecting the movement of a hammer which strikes strings provided for each key of a keyboard musical instrument. The hammer movement detection device radiates light onto a hammer shank which moves with the hammer and detects at least the displacement of the hammer shank based on the light reflected from the hammmer shank. The movement detection device may be attached to a shank rail which supports the hammer shank in a freely rotatable manner. The hammer movement detection device may be supported using a fixed member which is supported above the hammer shank and below the pin board which is connected to the frame which supports the strings which are struck by the hammer.
Abstract:
An automatic player piano is broken down into an acoustic piano and an automatic playing system, and solenoid-operated key actuators are driven to rotate the black/white keys of the acoustic piano; the space between the keyboard and the array of black/white keys is so narrow that the manufacturer provides the solenoid-operated key actuators in the space below the key bed; plunger holes are formed in the rear portion of the key bed, and the solenoids occupy the space under the key bed so that the plungers project through the plunger holes into the space beneath the rear portions of the keys; the key bed is does not lose the mechanical strength so that the tuning work is not frequently required for the key action units.
Abstract:
An automatic player piano is an acoustic piano equipped with a data acquisition system and a playback system, and the data acquisition system monitors the hammers with hammer sensors for producing a set of music data codes representative of a performance on the keyboard, wherein the hammer sensor has a detectable range over the trajectory of the associated hammer so that the data acquisition system obtains pieces of music data accurately representative of the trajectory of hammer to be required for a faithful reproduction of the original performance.
Abstract:
An automatic performance device for a keyboard instrument such as piano, organ, cembalo and celesta includes operators such as keys and a pedal provided in a keyboard instrument for producing sounds, a target performance state designation unit for producing target performance information of the keyboard instrument, a real performance state detection circuit for detecting an operation state of the operators and producing a detection output, an actuator such as a solenoid for actuating the operators, and a control circuit for controlling the actuator. The control circuit detects in error between the detection output of the real performance state detection circuit and the target performance information, and generates an operator actuating signal by correcting the target performance information to eliminate the error and supplies the corrected operator actuating signal to the actuator.
Abstract:
A key striking force sensor suitable for player pianos. This sensor contains a displacement sensor for measuring displacement between the displacement sensor itself and a catcher which rocks together with a hammer. As the positions of the catchers corresponding to the hammer respectively are almost the same, plural of the displacement sensors can be mounted on a common circuit board. Accordingly, mechanical construction thereof is comparatively simpler than that of conventional player pianos.
