摘要: A high-performance magnetic fluid sealer which maintains light-shielding property even when an interval change of a gap is large and a method for easily mounting a magnetic fluid sealer. A pair of annular magnets are supported by levitation from a lens barrel by magnetic levitation force which a magnetic fluid imparts in a fitting groove in the inner peripheral face of a lens barrel. Therefore, even when the lens barrel is greatly eccentric to the lens barrel, the pair of annular magnets move radially so as to keep a constant gap from the lens barrel with the magnetic fluid.

摘要: A method for generating a low frequency electric stimulus signal is carried out by generating electric stimulus signal to provide electric stimulus to a biological body or living body. Either the current or voltage, or both, can be controlled in accordance with sound volume levels supplied from a sound source to modulate the electric stimulus signal. The frequency of the electric stimulus signal is selected to be a low frequency.A low frequency electric stimulus signal generating apparatus for applying electric stimulus to a biological body includes a control section and a current/voltage controlling section. In the control section, a sound volume level derived from a sound source is sampled at a rate at which the biological body can feel it in substantially real time. The respective sampled sound levels are converted into frequencies corresponding to low frequencies and output, and predetermined control information. In the current/voltage controlling section, current and voltage stimulus signals are frequency-modulated separately based upon the frequencies. The control section and current/voltage controlling section are included in a stimulus signal generating section.

摘要: In a housed state, a magnetic fluid 4 is positioned in a groove 11 and spaced from the outer circumference of a lens barrel 10, so that a fluorochemical surface modification film of the outer circumference of the lens barrel 10 can be prevented from deteriorating at a position to confront the magnetic fluid 4 in the housed state. Therefore, the deterioration of the fluorochemical surface modification film of the outer circumference of the lens barrel 10 does not proceed earlier at a local region, so that the premature wetting of the outer circumference of the lens barrel 10 with the magnetic fluid 4 can be prevented to elongate the lifetime of a light shielding device 1.

摘要: A method for spreading a laundered rectangular cloth including picking up a portion of the cloth so that the cloth is suspended from the picked portion, and trailing the cloth on a support to position one corner portion, being the trailing end of the cloth, at a predetermined location on the support. After the corner portion has been gripped, the cloth is supported horizontally. The cloth is regripped at two, horizontally spaced apart positions transferred to a conveyor so that a length of one edge of the cloth is straightened and positioned in the downstream end of the conveyor. The straightened edge is grasped and displaced toward a horizontal support bar extending in a direction parallel with the displacing direction to hang the cloth thereon with the opposing short edges being straightened. One of the straightened short edges is fixed to suspend the cloth therefrom in a spread state. A spreading apparatus includes a combination of various gripping, conveying and suspending mechanisms to perform the above method.
