摘要: To provide an auto-cruise canceling device for maintaining a good operating response of the vehicle. A DC servo-motor is used as an actuator for regulating a throttle opening during auto-cruising. When a throttle grip is turned during regulation of the throttle opening by the servo-motor, namely, during a cruising state, a turning force transmitted to a throttle drum through a throttle cable causes a variation in the load on the motor. An ECU detects load variations based on the current in the servo-motor. If the load variation is not less than a predetermined value, it is judged that a rider's cruise canceling action has been made, and bias of the servo-motor is stopped, thereby canceling the cruising state.

摘要: This invention relates to facilitating the layout of cables in an electric connector box for a vehicle. Within the fuse box are disposed a large number of plug-in type blade fuses and screw type fuses. A difference in height is provided between mounting surfaces of the block fuses between terminal boards. The terminal boards of one type of fuse is set at a higher position than the terminal boards of the other type of fuse. Therefore, cables can be drawn out in the same direction without mutual interference. Although cable, which is laid inside, is screwed to the back of a substrate, the height of a screw portion for the cable is also set so as to avoid interference of the cable with back connections of the blade fuses.

摘要: A switch panel device permitting the mounting of a larger number of switches together on a steering handle pipe is disclosed that improves operability and operator comfort and safety. Plural switches are arranged on columns and/or on stages. An indicating and warning switch group having higher urgency and frequency of use than remaining switch elements are allocated to a column which is located nearest a handle bar grip. Further, the indicating and warning switch group is also allocated to a first horizontal stage which is set on a horizontal line coincident with a handle pipe and into additional stages positioned adjacent to the first horizontal stage in vertical distribution.

摘要: A handlebar switch mounting structure capable of firmly attaching a handlebar switch unit on a handlebar pipe and to improve the outward appearance of the handlebar switch. The handlebar switch mounting structure includes a first bracket having a circular portion which can be attached on substantially a half of the periphery of the handlebar pipe portion and front and rear flange portions and extended from both ends of the circular portion. The second bracket is provided that includes a circular portion which can be attached on the remaining half of the periphery of the handlebar pipe portion. The first and second brackets are securely fixed on the handlebar pipe portion by joining the second bracket to the first bracket set on the handlebar pipe portion. With the front and rear flange portions sandwiched together, the first and second case halves are joined and then attached to the handlebar pipe portion through the front and rear flange portions.

摘要: A gas sensor 1 includes an outer cylinder 18, a metallic shell 3, and a sensor element 2. The metallic shell 3 is disposed inside the outer cylinder 18. The sensor element 2 is disposed in a through-hole 30 formed in the metallic shell 3 and is adapted to detect a component of a gas to be measured. A sealing material layer 32 is mainly made of glass and is disposed between the inner surface of the metallic shell 3 and the outer surface of the sensor element 2. A cushion layer 34 formed of a porous inorganic substance is disposed in contact with the end of the sealing material layer 32 on the front-end side with respect to the axial direction of the sensor element 2. A cushion layer 33 formed of talc glass is disposed in contact with the end of the sealing material layer 32 on the rear-end side with respect to the axial direction of the sensor element 2. A gas sensor according to the present invention is especially adapted for use in a motorcycle and includes a sensor element having lower susceptibility to mechanical shock or thermal stress induced by different rates of contraction between a sealing material layer and an adjacent component element as well as excellent durability.

摘要: A pair of right and left headlights are fitted with a front cowl. Each headlight has two lamps laterally arranged. A laterally inner one of the two lamps is a discharge lamp functioning as a low-beam emitting lamp, and a laterally outer one of the two lamps is a halogen lamp functioning as a high-beam emitting lamp. The halogen lamp is higher in position than the discharge lamp. Each headlight further has a reflector surface for the low beam and a reflector surface for the high beam. The reflector surface is larger in size than the reflector surface. A lens is provided on the front side of the reflector surfaces, and the width of a laterally inner portion of the lens is larger than the width of a laterally outer portion of the lens. The low beam emitted from the discharge lamp is reflected on the larger reflector surface to illuminate a wide area, and the high beam emitted from the halogen lamp is reflected on the smaller reflector surface to illuminate a spot area at a distant point.

摘要: A detecting element is configured such that a second electrode is disposed on one side of a plate-like first electrode with a first solid electrolyte layer positioned therebetween and a third electrode is disposed on the other side of the first electrode with a second solid electrolyte layer positioned therebetween, thereby detecting migration of oxygen ions between the first electrode and the second electrode and migration of oxygen ions between the first electrode and the third electrode. Since the second electrode is disposed on one side of the plate-like first electrode with the first solid electrolyte layer positioned therebetween and the third electrode is disposed on the other side of the first electrode with the second solid electrolyte layer positioned therebetween, both planes of the detecting element functions as detecting planes and, to thus extend the directivity of detection in two directions. Since either the second electrode or the third electrode faces to the flow of exhaust gas, the inventive oxygen sensor can be brought in contact with exhaust gas earlier than a prior art oxygen sensor does. Accordingly, the response time of the inventive oxygen sensor becomes shorter than that of the prior art oxygen sensor.
