Dual spacer structures are fabricated such that sidewall spacers in a cell region are thinner than sidewall spacers in a periphery region. The fabricating method of memory includes forming a stop layer over the first semiconductor feature and the second semiconductor feature in cell region and periphery region. A spacer layer is formed over the stop layer in the periphery region. The spacer layer is patterned to form a spacer on a sidewall of the second semiconductor feature. An etching process is performed to form a resultant spacer on an interior sidewall of the opening between first semiconductor features. The stop layer on top surfaces of the first and second semiconductor features is removed.

The invention discloses a TFT-LCD and its driving method, TFT-LCD comprises an array substrate and a color filter substrate, a common electrode on said color filter substrate being divided into multiple columns, each of which corresponding to one column of pixels; on color filter substrate, odd number columns are first common electrodes, even number columns are second common electrodes; difference between voltages input to said first common electrodes and said second common electrodes is larger than zero and less than dynamic range of driving voltage of liquid crystal driving voltage-transmittance curve. By setting two common electrode voltages, TFT-LCD and its driving method provided by the invention can make dynamic range of input voltage required for driving liquid crystal display device be smaller than dynamic range of driving voltage of liquid crystal driving voltage-transmittance curve, thus reducing power consumption during driving the liquid crystal.

The present invention relates to device for driving liquid crystal display (LCD) and method for driving the same. The device for driving LCD comprises a voltage input module for receiving Gamma reference voltage; a voltage generation module connected to said voltage input module, for generating pixel driving voltage of a corresponding color with one resistor-chain, according to the Gamma reference voltage and the color of pixel being driven; and a voltage output module connected to said voltage generation module, for transmitting the pixel driving voltage of said corresponding color to a liquid crystal panel. According to an embodiment of the present invention, voltage generation units that respectively generate pixel driving voltage of three colors are set on one resistor-chain, and a corresponding voltage generation unit is selected by a multi-selector according to the color of pixel being driven, so that the corresponding voltage generation unit transmits the pixel driving voltage to the voltage output module. According to an embodiment of the present invention, color shifting phenomenon is effectively overcome, thus improving TFT-LCD's picture quality.
