    摘要: In the field of canine humeral osteotomy, an osteotomy plate including a proximal plate portion lying substantially in a first plane for application to the humerus. The proximal plate portion has a bottom surface adapted for application to the surface of the humerus, and the proximal plate portion has at least one overlapping hole formed therein. The osteotomy plate also includes a distal plate portion lying substantially in a second plane for application to the humerus.     摘要: The invention contemplates a viewing-head attachment removably securable to the body of a microscope and adapted to accommodate binocular viewing elements. The attachment employs two housings which are pivotally connected so that the binocular-viewing elements on one housing are enabled to stereoscopically view an object examinable under the microscope body to which the attachment is secured. The quality of stereoscopic viewing is unaffected regardless of the instantaneous pivot-angle relationship as between the two housings, and no further optical adjustments are needed.

    摘要: A device for the remote control of motions and operations, especially on microsurgical equipment, comprises a multiple switch assembly in which the operation of the selected switches is controlled by movement of a control member. Operation of the switches closes or opens electrical circuits which include servo-mechanisms for moving the equipment. The switches are mounted in a housing and the control member comprises a plate having a stud extending through an aperture in the cover of the housing. Selective operation of the switches is brought about by transverse movement of the plate and stud in various directions.

    摘要: A new and useful load-limiting device for a vehicle occupant restraint is provided. The load-limiting device comprises a mechanical structure designed to dissipate forces applied by a vehicle occupant to the load-limiting device during a crash, to absorb energy applied to a vehicle occupant during a crash. Moreover, the design of the load-limiting device of the present invention provides significant flexibility in designing the predetermined manner in which the load-limiting device dissipates forces during a crash, thereby providing flexibility in how energy of a vehicle occupant is absorbed during a crash. In its basic form, the load limiting device comprises a housing and a deformable member, at least one of which is configured for connection to a vehicle safety belt and the other of which is configured for connection to an anchor point (e.g. a structural part of a vehicle). The housing and the deformable member are moveable relative to each other in a predetermined manner when force is applied to the one of those members, and the housing supports a hardened member formed of a material which is harder than the deformable member and which is positioned to engage and deform the deformable member as the deformable member is being moved relative to the housing. The configuration of the deformable member can be designed so that the deformable member will deform in a predetermined manner under forces applied to the load-limiting device by a vehicle occupant during a crash.

    摘要: In an instrument for examination of the eye, which consists of a binocular telescopic magnifier and of an ophthalmological examination instrument, the main objective of the binocular telescopic magnifier is arranged in a swingable mount and can be swung out of the optical ray path. The mount is provided with a connecting piece to receive an ophthalmological instrument which can be swung into the ray path in the place of the main objective. In this way a rapid change is made possible from one diagnostic instrument to another, for instance from a slit lamp to an ophthalmometer.

The system and method implement an HMI in real time using a standard browser over a network.     摘要: A new and useful load-limiting device for a vehicle occupant restraint is provided. The load-limiting device comprises a longitudinal, load-limiting member connected between the vehicle occupant restraint and an anchor point such as a vehicle seat or a structural part of the vehicle. The load-limiting member is configured to deform plastically to dissipate forces applied to the load-limiting member by the vehicle occupant during a crash. Moreover, according to the preferred embodiments, the design of the load-limiting member provides a new and useful form of plastic deformation to dissipate forces applied to the load-limiting member by the vehicle occupant restraint. Specifically, in one embodiment the load-limiting member comprises a deformable strip with a pattern of perforations disposed in staggered rows extending transverse to the strip. In another embodiment the load-limiting member comprises a deformable tube with a pattern of perforations disposed in staggered rings extending about the central axis of the tube. The configuration of the load-limiting member provides a plurality of beam like segments that deform progressively, and with bending beam characteristics, to dissipate forces applied to the load-limiting member by the vehicle occupant during a crash.
