Abstract: A display device comprises a substrate having a plurality of sub-pixels; a plurality of LEDs respectively disposed in the plurality of sub-pixels, wherein each of the LEDs comprises an emissive layer, a first semiconductor layer between the substrate and the emissive layer and a second semiconductor layer on the emissive layer; a plurality of driving units disposed under the substrate in each of the sub-pixels; and a plurality of connection units penetrating the substrate and electrically connecting at least one of the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer with the plurality of driving units.

Abstract: A display device according to an example of the present disclosure includes a substrate on which a plurality of sub-pixels are defined; a plurality of LEDs including a first LED, a second LED, and a third LED that are disposed in the plurality of respective sub-pixels on the substrate; and at least one buffer layer disposed between the first LED and the substrate, wherein the first LED is in contact with an upper surface of the at least one buffer layer, and the second LED and the third LED are in contact with an upper surface of the substrate. Accordingly, the plurality of LEDs emitting light of different colors using the buffer layer can be respectively formed on one substrate, thereby allow for omission of a transfer process.

Abstract: A display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a substrate on which a plurality of sub-pixels are defined, a plurality of LEDs disposed in each of the plurality of sub-pixels, and a plurality of color conversion layers covering the plurality of LEDs. The plurality of color conversion layers each include a plurality of color conversion material layers that are stacked to be spaced apart from each other. Accordingly, according to the present disclosure, it is possible to minimize or reduce light lost inside the color conversion layer by separating the plurality of color conversion material layers from each other, and improve color conversion efficiency and luminance.

Abstract: A light emission element includes a first semiconductor layer, a light emission layer, and a second semiconductor layer. The first semiconductor layer in the light emission portion is provided with a concave portion having a concave shape. The light emission layer and the second semiconductor layer disposed on the first semiconductor layer are also disposed along the concave shape of the concave portion. The light emitting layer disposed along the shape of the concave portion emits light by electrons and holes injected from the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer. Further, the light path of the light emitted according to the concave shape is adjusted. Therefore, a light emission element having improved light efficiency and a display device using the same can be provided.
