    Abstract: An air conditioner includes a compressor and a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes a first header pipe to have a refrigerant compressed by the compressor to flow therein, a heat exchange unit including a plurality of first refrigeration tubes and a plurality of second refrigeration tubes to thermally exchange the refrigerant with air, a plurality of first header branch pipes coupling the first header pipe with corresponding first refrigeration tubes in the heat exchange unit, a bypass pipe to have the refrigerant, thermally exchanged in the heat exchange unit, passing therethrough in the air cooling operation, and a second header pipe to have the refrigerant passing through the bypass pipe to flow therein. A plurality of second header branch pipes couples the second header pipe with corresponding second refrigeration tubes in the heat exchange unit, where at least two first refrigeration tubes have at least one second refrigeration tube therebetween.

    Abstract: An outdoor system for an air conditioner may include at least one outdoor unit, the at least one outdoor unit including a compressor; an outdoor heat exchanger; a pair of two-stage compression lines that extends to outside of the outdoor system; a pair of connection lines that extends to the outside of the outdoor system and communicates with an indoor unit; and multiple valves that open/close the pair of two-stage compression lines and the pair of connection lines when the outdoor system is operated in a one-stage heating mode or a two-stage heating mode.

    Abstract: An electric motor and a compressor having an electric motor are disclosed herein. The electric motor may include a stator having a stator core and a stator coil, and a rotor provided with a rotational shaft and rotatably disposed with respect to the stator. The stator coil may include a main winding and an auxiliary winding connected to each other with a phase difference. The main winding may be divided into a plurality of main windings so as to be connected to each other and disconnected from each other, and the stator coil may further include a winding changeover switch configured to provide connection and disconnection between the plurality of main windings. Such a configuration may allow operating efficiency at a low load to be increased.
