Abstract: The present invention provides a method for encoding a video signal on the basis of a graph-based lifting transform (GBLT), comprising the steps of: detecting an edge from an intra residual signal; generating a graph on the basis of the detected edge, wherein the graph includes a node and a weight link; acquiring a GBLT coefficient by performing the GBLT for the graph; quantizing the GBLT coefficient; and entropy-encoding the quantized GBLT coefficient, wherein the GBLT includes a partitioning step, a prediction step, and an update step.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for encoding a video signal based on an Edge Adaptive Graph-Based Transform (EA-GBT) including detecting a step edge or a ramp edge from a residual signal; generating a graph signal based on at least one of the step edge or the ramp edge; obtaining an EA-GBT coefficient by performing the EA-GBT for the graph signal; quantizing the EA-GBT coefficient; and entropy-encoding the quantized EA-GBT coefficient.

Abstract: A method and a device for decoding a video signal using an adaptive separable graph-based transform. The method includes: receiving a transform index for a target block from the video signal in which the transform index indicates a graph-based transform to be applied to the target block; deriving a graph-based transform kernel corresponding to the transform index; and decoding the target block based on the graph-based transform kernel. The device includes: a parsing unit configured to receive a transform index for a target block from the video signal; and an inverse-transform unit configured to derive a graph-based transform kernel corresponding to the transform index and decode the target block based on the graph-based transform kernel.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for decoding a video signal including extracting an inter prediction mode of a current block from the video signal; generating two non-square prediction blocks using two motion vectors according to the inter prediction mode; performing a non-square transform on the two non-square prediction blocks to obtain two non-square prediction blocks on a frequency domain; updating the two non-square prediction blocks on the frequency domain using a correlation coefficient or a scaling coefficient; and generating a reconstruction block based on the updated non-square prediction blocks on the frequency domain and a residual block.

Abstract: An intra prediction method includes: receiving intra prediction mode information through a bitstream; deriving an intra prediction mode of a current block as a first intra directional mode on the basis of the intra prediction mode information; deriving first neighboring samples of the current block; deriving a reference sample adjacent to a target sample in the current block on the basis of a prediction direction of the first intra directional mode; deriving second neighboring samples of a neighboring block to which the reference sample belongs; determining a modified prediction direction on the basis of a comparison between the reference sample and at least one of the second neighboring samples; and deriving a prediction value for the target sample on the basis of the modified prediction direction and the first neighboring samples.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and a method for coding a multi-view video, a residual prediction method, according to the present invention, comprising the steps of: deriving a disparity vector of a current block; performing residual prediction on the current block on the basis of the disparity vector; and generating a residual prediction sample, wherein the disparity vector is not derived on the basis of a neighboring block of the current block, but is derived from a preset default vector. According to the present invention, the effect of prediction may be increased by performing residual prediction on the current block according to a certain condition, not only when the disparity vector is induced but also when the disparity vector is not induced from the neighboring block of the current block.
