Abstract: A vehicle lamp may include at least one head lamp having a plurality of optical modules spaced apart from each other. Each optical module may include a base substrate and a plurality of light emitting diodes disposed on the base substrate. At least some of the plurality of light emitting diodes may be configured to be operated independently of other of the plurality of light emitting diodes. The vehicle lamp may also include at least one processor configured to control a first subset of light emitting diodes among the plurality of light emitting diodes to form a first light distribution pattern; and control a second subset of light emitting diodes among the plurality of light emitting diodes to form a second light distribution pattern that corresponds to and is superimposed on the first light distribution pattern formed by the first subset of light emitting diodes.

Abstract: A lighting apparatus for a vehicle may include a light output unit; an interface unit; and at least one processor. The at least one processor may be configured to control the light output unit to generate light that illuminates an exterior of the vehicle. The at least one processor may also be configured to receive first information via the interface unit; and control the light output unit to display, via the light that illuminates the exterior of the vehicle, a visual image corresponding to the received first information. The at least one processor may further be configured to receive second information via the interface unit; and control the light output unit based on the received second information to change the visual image displayed by the light that illuminates the exterior of the vehicle.

Controlling the light generation unit to form the first light distribution pattern includes: controlling at least one first micro-LED element to generate a first luminous intensity at a first zone of the first light distribution pattern; and controlling at least one second micro-LED element to generate a second luminous intensity at a second zone of the first light distribution pattern.
