摘要: Aspects of the disclosure relate to repositioning a rooftop sensor of an autonomous vehicle when needed to reduce the overall height of the autonomous vehicle. For instance, while an autonomous vehicle is being controlled in an autonomous driving mode, a low clearance zone may be identified. An activation location may be determined based on the low clearance zone and a current speed of the autonomous vehicle. Once the activation location is reached by the autonomous vehicle, a motor may be caused to reposition the rooftop sensor. In addition, in some instances, after the autonomous vehicle has passed the low clearance zone, the motor may be caused to reposition the rooftop sensor again.

摘要: The present embodiments relate to selection and execution of one or more output actions relating to a modification of at least one feature of a vehicle. A series of sensors on a vehicle can acquire data that can be used to identify vehicle environment characteristics indicative of a status of a vehicle environment and an emotional state of the user. The vehicle environment characteristics and the emotional state can be processed using a user model that corresponds to a user to generate one or more selected output actions. The output actions can be executed on the vehicle to increase user experience. The output actions can relate to any of entertainment features, safety features, and/or comfort features of the vehicle.

摘要: Various technologies described herein pertain to causing presentation on a user interface of an immediate portion of a navigation route of an autonomous vehicle. A computing system of the autonomous vehicle determines whether an object detected by sensor(s) of the autonomous vehicle proximate to the immediate portion of the navigation route are of a type and relative position defined as one of consequential and inconsequential for a human passenger. In response to determining that an object has both a type and relative position defined as consequential, the computing system causes presentation on the user interface a representation of the object relative to the immediate portion of the navigation route to provide a confidence engendering indication that the autonomous vehicle has detected the object. Otherwise if inconsequential, presentation on the user interface of any representation of the object is not caused by the computing system to avoid creating a confusing presentation.

摘要: Personal mobility vehicles, their various components, methods and systems for controlling, using, tracking, and/or interacting with personal mobility vehicles, and methods and systems for integrating personal mobility vehicles within dynamic transportation networks so that a personal mobility vehicle (PMV) can be used in combination with a vehicle of a transportation provider to efficiently complete a transportation request are discussed. For example, a PMV may be used in combination with a lane-constrained vehicle to improve travel time between two locations in situations where the time it may take for a lane-constrained vehicle to reach the starting location may be affected by traffic congestion at the starting location. The PMV may transport a transportation requestor from a starting location to an intermediate location away from the traffic congestion to then transfer to a lane-constrained vehicle for the remainder of the trip.
