Abstract: A refrigerator includes a noise reduction device and a machine room that accommodates a condenser and a compressor. The noise reduction device includes a sensing unit configured to measure noise generated from the machine room of the refrigerator and a generating unit configured to output a sound signal having a frequency canceling or reducing the noise. The machine room is defined by a case that has a communication portion configured to communicate a fluid between an inside of the case and an outside of the case to thereby exchange heat between the fluid and the condenser and between the fluid and the compressor.

Abstract: A reciprocating compressor is provided. Bearing holes of a fluid bearing of the compressor may be positioned correspond to a full reciprocating region of a piston, to reduce/eliminate frictional loss and/or abrasion between a cylinder and the piston. The bearing holes may be concentrated at certain regions of the cylinder to stably support the piston through a full reciprocating range. Compression coil springs may maintain concentric alignment of the cylinder and the piston. Gas through holes may be radially formed at the piston to lower a pressure of a bearing space and allow refrigerant to be smoothly introduced into the bearing space through a gas pocket. A casing of the compressor may include an outer shell and an inner shell to attenuate vibration generated due to friction generated by operation of the reciprocating compressor.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to reciprocating compressor. The present invention can prevent friction loss or abrasion between a cylinder and a piston, which is caused when a hydraulic bearing is blocked with a foreign substance, by preventing the foreign substance mixed in refrigerant gas from flowing into the hydraulic bearing, and can improve compressor performance by preventing a specific volume in a compression space from increasing when high-temperature refrigerant gas discharged in the compression space is cooled, such that vibration noise of the compressor can be reduced since a gas guiding part offsets vibration and the noise generated when a refrigerant is discharged in the compression space. Furthermore, the number of vibrations of a mover is increased and a driving operation for removing foreign substances is carried out to increase the number of vibrations of a cylinder such that any foreign substance stuck in a gas hole can be cleaned, thereby increasing performance and reliability of the compressor.

Abstract: Natural frequencies of a front side support spring and a rear side support spring of a reciprocating compressor are formed to be different such that a natural frequency of one support spring is lower than an operating frequency and a natural frequency of the other support spring is higher than the operating frequency. Both support springs may resonate in mutually opposite directions to form an antiphase, and thus, compressor vibrations may be effectively reduced without reducing a stiffness of both support springs.
