    摘要: A reusable asset packaging and consumption method and system that support consumption activities and variability point instances associated with asset types or artifact types. Generic consumption activities and variability point types for different asset types or artifact types and developed and stored in a repository. When an asset packager packages an asset, a needed activity is selected from the activities associated with the type of the asset. The activity, a variability point instance bound with the activity, and the context constraints, together with the artifacts is packaged into the asset package, where the asset package is then stored in a repository. During consumption, the asset consumer obtains the asset package, verifies the context, and executes the activity packaged in the asset, while specifying variability point values for the bound variability instance.

    摘要: A medical device includes an antenna external to a case, package, or encapsulant for the electronic systems of the medical device. In one embodiment, a diabetes infusion pump is enclosed within a metal case, the pump including a processor and a communication module for wireless communications. An antenna is disposed in the delivery tubing of the pump outside the case with an antenna feed interconnecting the external antenna with the internal communication module. In another aspect, a thin film antenna is formed on the outer surface of the case in which a physiological parameter sensor, such as a glucose sensor, is enclosed. Multiple antennas may be used for communications on different frequencies.

    摘要: A video processing system comprising a video frame buffer memory, a first video pipeline, a second video pipeline, a blender, and an overdrive processing unit. The video frame buffer memory has a first memory region and a second memory region, the first memory region being configured to store a first video data frame and the second memory region being configured to store a second video data frame. The first video pipeline is coupled to the video frame buffer memory and configured to receive and process the first video data frame. The second video pipeline is coupled to the video frame buffer memory and configured to receive and process the second video data frame. The blender is coupled to the first and second video pipelines and is configured to receive and blend the processed first video data frame and the processed second video data frame in a first mode of operation and to provide the blended processed first and second video data frame to a display. The overdrive processing unit is coupled to the first and second video pipelines, and is configured to receive the processed first video data frame and the processed second video data frame in a second mode of operation, to modify the processed first video data frame based upon pixel values of the processed second video data frame, and to provide the modified processed first current video data frame to the display.

    摘要: A computer implemented method and apparatus is provided for generating and using constraints that are associated with software programs or other software entities intended for use in a specified data processing system or environment. One embodiment is directed to a method that includes the step of extracting metadata pertaining to the one or more software programs from at least one database. The extracted metadata is selectively processed to generate a set of constraints that affect the use of the one or more programs in a specified environment, wherein such processing includes transforming the extracted metadata to provide the set of constraints in a prespecified constraint language. The method further comprises detecting a proposed action of a user that is associated with the one or more software programs, and determining whether the proposed action violates any constraint in the set.

    摘要: Methods are described herein which consider both die-to-die and within-die variations in effective channel length, threshold voltage, and gate oxide thickness, based on first developing closed-form models of chip level FPGA leakage and timing variations. Execution times are significantly reduced using these methods in comparison to performing detailed evaluation. The teachings provide mean and standard deviation which were found to be within 3% from those computed by Monte Carlo simulation, while leakage and delay variations can be up to 3× and 1.9×, respectively. Analytical yield models are derived which consider both leakage and timing variations, and use such models to evaluate FPGA device and architecture in response to process variations. The teachings allow improved modeling of leakage and timing yields and thus co-optimization to improve yield rates.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for enrollment and verification of speaker authentication. The method for enrollment of speaker authentication, comprising: extracting an acoustic feature vector sequence from an enrollment utterance of a speaker; and generating a speaker template using the acoustic feature vector sequence; wherein said step of extracting an acoustic feature vector sequence comprises: generating a filter-bank for the enrollment utterance of the speaker for filtering locations and energies of formants in the spectrum of the enrollment utterance based on the enrollment utterance; filtering the spectrum of the enrollment utterance by the generated filter-bank; and generating the acoustic feature vector sequence from the filtered enrollment utterance.
